About This Mod
The Ikarus280T is a trolleybus version of the famous Ikarus280 articulated bus, about 380 units of which were built between 1975 and 1992. It is not only widely used in Hungary (Budapest, Szeged, Debrecen), but also exported to Bulgaria, East Germany, North Korea, Romania and the Soviet Union.
Experimental Ikarus260T was also included in this version as a bonus. The Ikarus260T was the first trolleybus in Hungary to use the ZiU-5 electric motor. However, the 260T was never put into production and was only a prototype between 1974 and 1975 for evaluation in Hungary and East Germany. However, some Ikarus260 diesel buses were later converted into trolleybuses, especially in North Korea.
