About This Mod

This is my first attempt to create a vehicle mod for this game thanks to all the guides and writers in the W&R community!


This early steam locomotive mod was created for personal use, but we decided to share it. This is due to the fact that early steam locomotives do not have many possibilities for custom start dates.


Note: This is not a realistic representation of a real historical model, but is similar to the SY1000 and SY0652; SY 2-8-2 was the smallest of the three main classes of standard steam locomotives in modern China. They were widely used in industry and mining and were popular with crews as they were easy to operate and maintain. Many of them survived until the 2000s and were used in industry and mining, and some are still in use today.


The creator of the original model ... It was the last locomotive built in the world. It was bought in China by Boon and Scenic Valley Railway, the tourist railway in my hometown."


The credit for the creation of the original model belongs to the user of the 3d-warehouse sketchup 'ddufon'. I imported it and edited it for the game. The texturing was done using the original textures of the game, which I worked on in my spare time.

Known issues.

- Some of the faces on the model were devoid of texture or had flat colors.

- RESOLVED.

Smoke conduits are not very clear. Possible problems when converting to game file.

- The locomotive moves a little away on steep corners.

- Valve gear and pistons fixed.

- Progress.


Fashion update: Modified model and Tenter engine for more accurate scaling. Some geometry changes.
