About This Mod
Construction of a trolleybus network in Pyongyang began in the early 1960s. The system was opened in 1961, originally it was the only line running from the railway station to the exhibition hall of the three revolutions through the streets of the People's Army and Stalin. The opening of this line caused great resonance and was used by northerners to demonstrate the superiority of the socialist system. In the following years, several more lines were opened around the city, serving various neighborhoods and industrial areas. The first trolleybus was the Chollima 9.11, which was quickly followed by the Chollima 9.25.
Chollima 9.11
The Chollima 9.11 trolleybus was the first trolleybus built in North Korea and was introduced into the Pyongyang trolleybus network in 1961. It is similar to the Chinese BK540. In fact, North Korea produced the BK540 prototype, but did not put it into mass production, and it was named after the mythical Pegasus from East Asian folklore. BK540 is named after the mythical Pegasus of East Asian folklore, which is said to be so fast that it cannot be ridden by humans, and can fly more than 1,000 miles a day.
