Best Flags for Iberia/Mod

Description.

A simple mod that gives Iberia a new flag and makes some changes to the Spanish flag.

There are several problems with the flag that is now used in vanilla. First, it makes sense to use it as the flag of a liberal and constitutional monarchy. The Kingdom of Portugal and Spain officially adopted the "logiguarda" (red and yellow) flag in 1843. This flag received popular support as a symbol of the Spanish state during the Iberian War and was adopted in the Cortes de Cádiz, where the first Spanish constitution was adopted. The Burgundian cross (white and red) is the best flag for symbolizing Spain’s absolute monarchy, because it is the best symbol of Spain’s absolute monarchy. Second, this flag model is difficult to adapt to other forms of politics. Therefore, if this flag were to be retained, other flags would have to use a completely different pattern and colors, which would be completely inconsistent. Finally, while the flag is actually a historic proposal to unify the Iberian Peninsula, it looks rather ugly.

For these reasons, I decided that it would be best to abandon this flag and adopt a completely new design.

The flag that I chose as the thematic core of the Iberian flag is the Bandera de los galeones (red, white and yellow horizontal stripes), the flag that is known to have used the Unconquerable Armada during the failed invasion of England. This flag has several advantages: it is simple, it is easy to distinguish from other European flags, it looks good, it was used at a time when Portugal, Castile and Aragon were in a dynastic union, it is not too clearly associated with a certain political form, and it is now a fairly popular flag proposal for the Iberian Peninsula.

The following flags are involved in this change:

-Iberian.

Iberia: constitutional monarchy: "Bandera de los Galeones" and corresponding CoA for the Iberian principalities.

Absolute monarchy is a combination of the Burgundian Cross and a modified version of the Alfonso I Shield (at first I tried to use the original specimen, but it did not look good due to the size of the flag in the user interface)

Theocracy: A combined interpretation of the symbols of the Knights of Calatrava and the Knights of the Abyss against a black background. The yellow stripe ties the flag to others and also symbolizes loyalty to the Pope.

Dictatorship/oligarchy: simply called "Bandera de los Galeones".

Republic: The same colors as Bandera de los Galeones, but arranged vertically around CoA. This should be reminiscent of other Latin republics (France, Italy, Romania, Mexico).

Communist states: The same standard style used for communist flags in games, but in "Bandera de los Galeones" colors.

Anarchy: The flag model used by the FAI, with a symbol in the center.

-Spain

Spain: The Communist State: The emblem is altered and bears little resemblance to the historical one, otherwise the same flag in Vanilla.

Anarchy: Represents a flag used by CNT, with one of their symbols (Hercules fighting the Nemean Lion) in the center.

-Portugal.

Absolute monarchy not including Brazil: a white field with the same coat of arms as the flag of the constitutional monarchy.

Brazilian Absolute Monarchy: The same flag as the absolute monarchy in the base game.

Brazilian Constitutional Monarchy: The blue and white pattern used on the flag of the constitutional monarchy by default, but the same coat of arms as on the flag of the absolute monarchy in the base game.

-Netherlands

Main flag: This flag (added in 1.5.3 Open Beta) uses exactly the same color scheme as the flag of the Iberian Peninsula used in fashion. It should look like the flag of the Austrian Netherlands, but I changed it to a variation of Prinsenvlag, as it did not make much sense and could cause confusion with the flag included in this fashion. If you want to use a different mod that changes the Dutch Union flag, put it under that mod in the playset and it will take precedence.

It must be compatible with any fashion that does not change the flag of Iberia or Spain....
