Configuration

Ammunition.

Maximum ammunition capacity: the maximum amount of ammunition that can be loaded into a ballist.

Scanning

Scan Arc: The total number of scan angles passed by the ballistics during scanning.

Sweep Interval: Sweep Interval: the time interval between varistor making one pass over the arc of fire.

Goals

Maximum number of trophies: the number of trophies that can be targeted by a ballist.

Target Players: When activated, the ballist targets players within range.

Target Taming: When activated, the ballista will target taming within range.

Target Enemies: When activated, the ballist will target tamers within range.

Range: The area in which a ballist finds and attacks an opponent.

Utility.

: Manages the level of information contained in the log.

Reconfiguration in the game.

Configuration Manager (or similar) mode allows you to change the configuration without leaving the game. If the configuration file is modified, the configuration is also reloaded.

Customize.

To increase or decrease the turret's stroke, ballists can be configured with several parameters: Arc Shot, Range Scan, and Speed Rotation work together to adjust the scanning behavior.

The arc of the scan determines the total angle at which the ballista moves. Notice that the larger the arc, the longer the scan takes.

If you set a smaller interval, the pause at the end of the movement will be smaller, but if you set an interval too short, the combing will be interrupted until it is complete and the direction of movement will be reversed.

Rotation speed is the speed (in degrees/seconds) at which the turret rotates during sweep.

The higher rotation speed allows faster completion of the rotation, thereby reducing the sweep interval and minimizing the time spent pausing at the end of the motion.

Notes.

Valheim already had the ability to load ballists with several trophies and target several types of creatures! They just didn't let them do it.

Azumatt's ImFRIENDLYDAMMIT overrides Target Player and Target Tames; if you use BetterBallistas, you don't have to run this mod.
