About This Mod
This mod uses the power of RTX Global Illumination to make lights reflect off their surroundings and fill in dark gaps, eliminating or reducing the effect of "dot light" when you can see clearly placed lights in the surroundings. Now the dark areas must seem brimming with light and much more passable and cozy (and, hopefully, more realistic).
I added 4 different levels of intensity of reflected light through the menu, so you can choose how cozy the environment can now be. It is completely independent of lighting and fire modes, which means that it must work with every lighting mode and every fire fashion! The only requirement is that ray tracing is enabled. It also has no effect on performance. It fits perfectly with my No Artificial Player Light fashion!
All the screenshots in the section have been taken with "Default" and "Very Cozy" as they better show the differences, but your mileage can vary depending on location/weather/lighting mode.
Installation:
1. Download the file;
2. Unpack it using the uncompressor you have chosen (e.g. winzip/winrar/7zip);
3. Drag the unpacked folders (bin and Mods) to the game directory "\The Witcher 3\";
4. Go to "The Witcher 3\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\»;
5. Add the following line to "dx12filelist.txt" at the bottom:
cozierfires.xml;
6. Run the game;
7. Customize how cozy you want to see your game!
Uninstall:
1. Set the Default option in the fashion menu to reset the default value.
2. Remove the installed mod from the "The Witcher 3\Mods\" folder and delete the cozierfires.xml file from the "The Witcher 3\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\»;
