Dark Nights - Next Gen - Menu Fixes

The mod is intended for correction of 11 menu items Darker Nights - Next Gen. If the menu items are larger than 10 and you scroll down to an item larger than 10, you may find that the items do not fit their functions. This is because the The Witcher 3 menu is not designed for items larger than 10. This mod simply moves the settings of 9 regions to a separate menu item called "Region Settings".

The mod also adds default values to user.settings, which allows the mod manager to manage these settings.

I provide a patch and a patched version of Darker Nights or Darker Nights Enhanced. There are 3 versions of the file. You can choose one of them to install. The assignments are listed below:

modDarkerNightsMenuFix

Used to fix the original Darker Nights or Darker Nights Enhanced mod. It does not contain the Darker Nights function. Therefore, it requires the original Darker Nights or Darker Nights Enhanced mod.

modDarkerNights

Fixed version of Darker Nights mod. I manually patched the original Darker Nights mod. It has full Darker Nights functionality. Therefore, it is necessary to remove the original Darker Nights mod for its operation. The Witcher 3 4.04 is required!

modDarkerNightsNGEnhanced

Fixed version of Darker Nights Enhanced mod. I manually patched the original Darker Nights Enhanced mod. It has all the features of Darker Nights Enhanced. Therefore, it requires the removal of the original Darker Nights Enhanced mod. In addition, the original Darker Nights Enhanced mod requires the Community Patch - Shared Imports mod to work, as well as the patched version. Requires The Witcher 3 version 4.04!

In addition to the Darker Nights patch, I also updated the Friendly Meditation patch for Darker Nights.

modFriendlyMeditationDarkerNights

Used to correct the original Friendly Meditation fashion. It does not contain the Friendly Meditation function. Therefore, it requires the original Friendly Meditation mod. Witcher 3 4.04 and Friendly Meditation mod 0.9.6NGE are required!

Install the patch (modDarkerNightsMenuFix)

Install a mod manager (recommended):

Install Darker Nights - Next Gen (make sure you can actually see the menu in the game, otherwise the patch will not work).

Install the patch using the mod manager (The Witcher 3 Mod Manager version 0.9.1 is recommended). If you are using Vortex or version 0.8.2 of The Witcher 3 Mod Manager or lower, you must manually manage dx12user.settings. See manual installation instructions.

The priority of the patch should be higher than that of Darker Nights - Next Gen (the order of the patch download should be less than that of the original mode).

Uninstall via Mod Manager:

Remove Patch

Reinstall Darker Nights - Next Gen (Note that mod will overwrite the original menu list. You need to reinstall the original mod if you want to get rid of it only, not the original mod)

Manual Installation:

Install Darker Nights - Next Gen. You can use the original or improved version. (Make sure you can see the menu in the game, otherwise the patch will not work).

Download and unzip the archive, you will get the modDarkerNightsMenuFix patch folder

Replace {game folder}\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\DarkerNights.xml with modDarkerNightsMenuFix\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\DarkerNights.xml

Copy the contents of modDarkerNightsMenuFix\user.settings.part.txt to {My Document}\The Witcher 3\dx12user.settings

Copy modDarkerNightsMenuFix\user.settings.part.txt content to {My Document}\The Witcher 3\user.settings

Copy all w3string files to modDarkerNightsMenuFix\content\ in the {Game Folder}\Mods\modDarkerNights\content and replace all.

Manual uninstall:
