About This Mod

This mod makes horse handling the same as in RDR. games.


With the left stick, you can still move the horse, but its speed will be slow.

To speed up, you need to spur the horse. This is done using the A button on the controller and the Shift button on KB/M.

If you don't spur the horse for a while, it will slow down.

Pressing the Spurs button for 1 second will accelerate the horse, otherwise the current speed will be maintained.

Hold down the spur button or occasionally touch the spur button to maintain your current speed.

To slow down, use B on the controller or X on KB/M.

Hold down the ease button to stop completely.

Get off the horse and jump by pressing the Y button on the controller.

If you don't drive a horse, it will always follow the road.

[1.2] If standing still, leap in the direction of the camera.


Acknowledgements:

Some of the code is from Alternate Horse Controls from Immersive Cam and from Changed Horse controls - SotC and BotW style and Ground Material Based Dust Effects. In the last section you will find cool dust effects.


Installation:

- Copy the modRDRHorseControls to the Mods folder.

- Use Script Merger if necessary.image 1 for RDR Horse Control
