About This Mod
I made this fashion because I never liked the torch fire. When I first created NewFires, I wanted to edit the torches as well, but I couldn't find a suitable particle system for them, so I just didn't do it.
Now I decided to do this and edit the particle system that I liked. I created and baked a whole new custom fire texture animation for it, and also created a whole new smoke particle system for the torch. I also added a distortion-like effect to mimic the heat distortion coming from the flame. Why not, right?
Although it's not perfect because I'm not a VFX artist, and because editing particles with Wolvenkit is tedious because of the lack of visual feedback and documentation, I think it came out well enough to be worth posting here. I tried to make a more detailed flame than in vanilla, and ended up being pleased.
