Combat Speed mod - speeding up or slowing down animation

There are now 2 main files. One is for older versions of the game 1.31/1.32, and the other is for the 4.0 update for the new generation. Download and install the appropriate file for the version of the game you are playing.

The easiest way to install is to use Witcher 3 Mod Manager. It will automatically set the mod and mod menu for you.

If you prefer manual installation, copy the modCombatSpeed folder to the Mods folder in the Witcher 3 software installation directory. Then copy the bin folder from the modCombatSpeed folder and paste it into the Witcher 3 software installation directory.

If you are using the next-gen version of the game, you need to open the file "dx12filelist.txt" (or "dx11filelist.txt" if you are playing DirectX 11) in the folder "Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc" and add "modCombatSpeed.xml;" at the end of the list. Don't forget to put a semicolon at the end. You can also use mod Menu Filelist Updater to do this for you. If you do not take this step, you will not have a menu for this fashion.

If you are using Nexus Mod Manager, you must copy the bin folder from the modCombatSpeed folder and paste it into the game's installation directory, otherwise you will not have an in-game fashion menu.

WARNING: If the script compiler starts when you start the game, you must exit the game and restart it after you exit the main menu. There is an error in the vanilla game that can give you -1 potion, bomb and oil if you load the save after running the script compiler. This is a vanilla bug, and it can happen any time you add, remove, or update any mod.

Currently, the mod is available in English and traditional Chinese. There are partial translations into French and Polish. If you would like to help translate the mod into another language, check the localization folder included in the download. There are instructions on how to do this.

Most other mods should be compatible with this, but you should use Script Merger to test and make sure of it. In most cases, Script Merger should automatically resolve any conflicts that occur.

In the files section there is a compatibility patch for E3 Improved Combat Animations mod. It is only for older versions of 1.30/1.31/1.32, not for next-gen. It must be installed manually. Extract the archive into the "mod" folder. He should ask if you want to overwrite the file "actor.ws". Answer yes. You must then remove the file "actor.ws" from the folder "modanimations\content\scripts\game". Don't worry about removing the file from another mod, the compatibility file has everything you need for both mods. Now there should be no conflict between this mod and E3 Improved Combat Animations.

To remove mods, remove the modCombatSpeed folder from the Mods folder. Then delete the file "modCombatSpeed.xml" from the folder "Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc".
