About This Mod

Buff Immersion Charge

Compatible with Next Gen 4.04

Features:

Swords and armor will now receive a heightened charge buff, which will decrease as the charges are depleted.

This makes Grindstone and Workbenchhes more important to your survival, especially in Death March, combined with other complexity modes.

Recommended settings:

The number of charges is equal to the number of buffs received.

Just the Story (Easy):

Sharpening stone charges = 50

Workbench charges = 10

Ratio of bonus per stone = 1/25

Workbench bonus factor = 1/10

Gives maximum buffs +20%/10%

Character charges = 10

Sword and History (normal)

Grinding stone charges = 100

Workbench charges = 25

Ground stone bonus factor = 1/40

Workbench bonus factor = 1/20

Gives maximum buffs +25%/12.5%

Character charges = 15

Blood and broken bones (hard):

Ground stone charges = 150

Workbench charges = 50

Ratio of bonus per stone = 1/50

Workbench bonus factor = 1/33

Gives maximum buffs +30%/15%

Character charges = 20

Deadly march (madness): < Recommended difficulty

Charges for ground stone = 200

Workbench charges = 100

Bonus factor for ground stone = 1/60

Workbench bonus factor = 1/60

Give a maximum buff of +33.33%/16.67%

Character charges = 25

How it works:

Sharpening Gems: Sharpening a sword gives you a buff on the attack force, which depends on the number of charges and gradually fades as you hit enemies and the number of charges runs out.

Workbench: When you upgrade your armor, you gain an increase in defense that depends on the number of charges, and the armor becomes weaker as you get hit and the number of charges runs out.

Balancing:

The number of charges is equal to the number of buffs you get. The recommended settings are taken from my tests to give players a starting point, but don't hesitate to experiment, just remember to save the game before increasing these numbers, and use a sharpening stone or workbench, otherwise you'll get stuck with these buffs until you've exhausted your charges. Example: Start at 200 and increase by 10.

To get the maximum buff, calculate it:

Charges / (Bonus Ratio * 10) = Buff%.

Example:

200 / (60 * 10) = 33.33%

Elementals, explosions and falls from a height are still deadly.

Installation:

You must install either Buff Charges or GSaWBC.

For ease of installation, use The Witcher 3 Mod Manager. He'll set it all!!! (Not like Vortex).

Then use Script Merger and merge all the scripts.

For manual installation: (if you know how)

Unpack the mod into the game directory, which has four folders: Bin, DLC, Content and Mods.

Use TW3 Menu Filelist Updater instead.

Use Script Merger and merge all scripts.
