About This Mod
To quote the original description:
I did not like that a couple of steps or even a 6-inch drop often caused Geralt to fall and roll upside down. It just made him look stupid! Even the drowned men laughed.
So here's a little refinement that corrects the worst consequences. Now, instead of rolling down the stairs, Geralt will take a quick step and keep moving.
What's more, CD Projekt Red has introduced a new fix in the free Next Gen update that prevents Geralt from rolling down when walking on stairs, as well as correcting the damage from falling.
But they only correct the situation when walking, not when running. Just because it's... realistically - fall if you run (in real life it can even kill).
So this mod has been updated to new Next Gen scripts, while retaining small changes to the original mod.
The mod is now "Game Changes" instead of "Bug Fixes".
Compatible with 4.04 Next-Gen!
Installation
For beginners: I invite you to read The Tome of Witcher 3 Modding
0 DO NOT USE THE SWIRL!!!
1. Use Witcher 3 Mod Manager or extract the files to the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY Edition\Mods folder (if it does not exist, create it).
2. Run Script Merger and merge the scripts if they conflict.
How to delete?
Delete the 'modNoStairRolling' folder. Then start Script Merger and retry the merge.
Compatibility and Conflicts
Reminder: Compatible with Next-Gen!
This is a scripting mode that contains only the following script:
scripts/game\explorations\exploration_movement_system\exploration_substates\explorationStateLand.ws
So don't forget to run Script Merger.
If you want to use the game on Classic 1.32, install the original mod.
