About This Mod

This is just a small scripting mod that disables the in-game looting menu and allows Geralt to automatically loot all items from any source. Locked chests and chests marked as belonging will still work as normal, you will still need to find the key, and guards will still respond to theft, etc..

This mod works on 99% of the containers, however some containers may still show the loot menu if it is hard-coded by the game due to the presence of quest items in the loot data.

Created using scripts from the Steam 4.0.4 NG version of the game.

Why choose this mod ==—.

Everyone plays the game differently, and people want different things... with this in mind, automatic looters are always popular, as they get rid of tedious looting and allow you to go about your business without worrying about missing any items.

However, there are some serious disadvantages to auto-looters: they capture items you shouldn't have access to through walls and the like, which can upset the balance of the game, as well as break some quest containers, which are hard-coded to set the progress of quests depending on the "player" that activates them.

What this mod does is perfect for my game, I love balance and love looting, but I hate the looting menu because it slows me down a lot when I run somewhere and want to quickly loot a corpse or container that is in my way.

Once this mod is set, you can simply activate the item you want to loot, and all of its items, which are usually on the loot menu, will automatically move to your inventory and will not prevent you from doing what you are doing.

Installing ==—

Simply unzip the archive to the '/The Witcher 3' directory or install it using the mod manager of your choice.

You may be prompted to overwrite some files because this mod shares utilities with my other mods, such as Progress on the Path and Botanist, as well as Random Encounters Reworked by Aeltoth.

You can safely overwrite, as all files are identical.

Don't forget to use Script Merger after the mod is installed, and also don't forget to update the file lists to make the menu appear in the game using Menu Filelist Updater.
