About This Mod

Description and features

It's a cinematic ReShade that adds lens highlights, less intricate color rendering and generally more somber vibrations to your Star Wars Outlaws game. It also offers additional cinematic effects besides vanilla, including depth of field, camera lens emulation, glare, lens contamination, coloring, alternative film grain (it is recommended to turn off the film vanilla grain if you really like the film grain, then there is no reason why you can't use both vanilla and mine), letterbox and vignette. I plan to add more presets in the coming days, weeks and months.

All added effects are on the hotkeys for easy and quick switching when/if they are not needed.

Installation instructions

1. Put my .ini file in the game folder where your game .exe is located.

2. Go to ReShade.me and download the latest version of ReShade (currently 6.2.0) by making sure to select a version that says "fully supports add-ons".

3. Run the downloaded ReShade .exe file.

4. Select your game's .exe file from the list of games displayed in Setup. If you don't see it there, you have to

click the Browse button and locate it manually.

5. Select DirectX 10,11,12.

6. Click "Next", and when asked if you want to use the existing preset file, click "Browse" and select this configuration file, "Mercs This Is the ReShade You're Looking For - 1-0.ini", which you placed in the game folder in step 1.

7. Complete the rest of the installation process as indicated by the installer (do not select any add-ons during the installation when the menu appears, unless another mod tells you to do so). If you installed it correctly, you should see a message such as "reshade was installed" in the installer

successful"

10. Close to the middle of the ReShade menu you will see the words "Edit Preprocessor Definitions".

a. Click on it and change the value of the parameter "depth_buffer_is_reversed" from 0 to 1 (if it is already set to "1", it is wonderful, just leave it alone).

b. Click Enter or click outside the text box to save the settings. You should see how ReShade recompiles the shaders if you did everything right. It'll only take a second or two.

11. On the ReShade menu, click "Add" at the top.

a. Ensure that the first row next to Aspect Ratio is set to "Similar aspect ratio".

b. Ensure that the second line of the Depth Buffer Format Filter section is set to All.

c. Make sure that no check boxes are checked in the Add-ons menu except for the "Total Depth" check box at the top.

c. Return to the main tab of the ReShade menu.

d. Close the ReShade menu.
