About This Mod
Due to the fundamental limitation of the Snowrunner winch system, it can only be attached to one point at a time. Typically, this means that the car cannot be lifted straight up, and the placement of the car on another car or trailer varies from "mild irritation" to "just drag this damn thing".
In real life, there are many tools and devices for lifting cars with cranes and helicopters, and loading with slings is a relatively simple and versatile option. Although this mode is designed to simulate sling loading, there are obvious problems to keep in mind when using it, as it is not really sling loading:
The point of the crane winch is over most paths - this was done specifically to improve balance during lifting.
As soon as the winch reaches the attachment point, it stops.
It is almost impossible to balance the load on the spot. I adjusted the truck so that the attachment point is in the middle, but various fixtures or their absence shift the center of gravity.
The trucks are heavy. If you want to fully lift a medium or large truck from the ground, it is recommended to use a more powerful crane modification.
