About This Mod
The TIV2 was designed to solve the problems of the original TIV, including low altitude, lack of four-wheel drive, and low top speed. It was based on the frame of a 1-ton 4-wheel drive Dodge truck, 3. it was improved by adding an axle and converted into a 6-wheel truck. Due to mechanical problems, the four-wheel drive system was replaced by a four-wheel drive system. It is modified with propane and water injection systems and is powered by a 625-liter Cummins turbodiesel engine with 466 PS (6.7 kW). This increases the design maximum speed of tiv2 to 100 mph (160 km/h). The fuel tank is 92 US gallons, giving a tiv2 range of about 750 miles (1,210 km). The Tiv2 body is made of 2-inch (51 mm) steel plating welded to a 1/8-inch square tube steel frame. All TIV2 windows are made of 1 5/8 inch thick bulletproof polycarbonate sheets and tempered glass. The car is also equipped with IMAX towers, similar to the original TIV. The original TIV hydraulic clutch is used in the TIV2 design in favor of six hydraulic skirts that are lowered to deflect and stabilize the wind over the tiv and protect the bottom from debris.
