Elemental Weapon VFX - Removable/Mod

WARNING: This mod may conflict with various 'Re-Shades' and other visual effects mods.

This explains what to do when shaders are enabled.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please read the entire article to understand how not to disturb the work of other mods and how to customize this mod.

This mod is divided into two parts, one for shaders (brightness) and one for buffa.

Requirements: Instruction.

To use the Nioh 2 mod.

: 

1) This turns off the glow effect only in elementary weapons,

Extract the file "shaders.rar" and place its contents in the folder 'ShaderFixes' in the Nioh2 directory.

- (If you do not see a pop-up prompting you to overwrite the file, you are done).

If you already have these files, do not overwrite them. "Overwriting them will break all the mods that use them.

Instead, you'll have to fix them yourself, so look for these shaders if you already have them:

In each of these files, search for the following lines

O1.W = 0.00392156886 * R0.W

When this value is changed to "0.00392156886" >> "0.0"

o1.w = 0.0 * r0.w

Save for each file and all gotvos.

2) Now you can customize more effects.

Open and place the 'elemental weapon visual effects removed' folder in the 'mods' folder.

In this folder you will find nine .ini files, each of which manages one of the aspects of the basic visual effects.

By default, only one is active, but you can customize its appearance to your liking.

Below is the legend. You can also find examples on the Images tab:

remove_elemental_aura. INI <<< aura = A continuous foggy effect that spreads along the entire length of the weapon.

DISABLED remove_elemental_permanent_flow <<< flow = Flame-like burning effect.

DISABLED remove_elemental_periodic_flow <<< flow = Flame-like burning effect.

DISABLED remove_elemental_particles_purity <<< the purity particles left over from the removal of the aura and the flow.

DISABLED remove_elemental_particles_fire << Only the corners of fire left after the removal of the aura and the flow.

DISABLED remove_elemental_particles_lightning1 <<< Electrical effects, more subtle, remain only after the aura and flow have been removed.

DISABLED remove_elemental_particles_lightning2 <<< Thinner electrical effects remain only after the removal of the aura and the flow of DISABLED remove_elemental_particles_water1_ corruption << water mist and decay particles, remain only after the removal of the aura and the flow, remove what remains after the removal of the aura and flux *Note - water and lute use the same vertex buffer - they cannot be separated DISABLED remove_elemental_particles_water1 elemental_particles_water2 << Small and small particles of water droplets, only what remains after the removal of the aura and flux You can combine these names at your discretion by removing "DISABLED" from their names. Note: If you remove the Aura and Flow effects, only particle effects for each element will remain. Note that these effects behave strangely and capriciously, so they can interact with light and shadow, disappearing and suddenly appearing on motion (the lightning effect has no such error). b) Remove aura and particles you don't like. c) Remove aura and particles you don't like. d) Remove particles you don't like. e) Remove particles you don't like. f) Remove particles you don't like. Remove particles you don't like. d) Remove all but the lightning bolt. They are error-free and look great, so you can only turn off the zipper 2 and reduce the contrast.3) Turn off MOTION BLUR and DLSS and press F2 in the game to turn on mod / F10 to reboot mod. That's enough. I haven't tested this mod in the whole game, but theoretically it should only disable the effects of Elementary Weapons.
