How to use this ReShade preset

Start by installing the fully vanilla/unmodified NieR Automata
Download my ReShade Preset
Get all the extra effects I'm using (see 0.5 version history and additional effects information)
Pre-download all the mods you want to use
Follow my video instructions on how to modify the game with the latest version of ReShade
Read the rest of this page on how to get the best visual quality from all the options, mods and my preset available
Your game is already "manually" modified (without using NAHM)
Download my ReShade preset
Get all the extra effects I'm using (see 0.5 version history and additional effects information)
Install the latest ReShade (at least 5.4.0) with all the effects.
If the "old" version of ReShade is already installed, upgrade it (ReShade Setup recognizes the "old" installation, just choose "Upgrade")
Add all additional effects to the reshade-shaders folder (see 0.5 version history and more information about effects)
Copy "Effect Finder Path" and "Preprocessor Definitions" from my ReShade.ini to yours (read 8. ReShade.ini Configuration)
Put my Eccex_ReShade_2160p.ini in the same place as your ReShade.ini

Your game has already been modified (via NAHM)
I have a video instruction on how to "manually" modify the game. It takes 10 minutes and is very simple.
DO NOT "install" my preset if you use NAHM! That is, do not use the NAHM Install feature.
This preset also DOES NOT WORK if NAHM still comes with ReShade 4.9.1. You must have at least ReShade 5.4.0 running on your game.
Neither the standard ReShade effects configuration nor newer versions of RTGI work with ReShade 4.9.1.
In the past, you could upgrade your version of ReShade from NAHMs. For more information, see the official NAHM documentation.
If you managed to get the latest ReShade to work with NAHM, just follow the instructions from:
"Your game is already "manually modified" (without using NAHM)" above.
