NieR Automata AI Upscaled 4K and 1440p Cutscenes

Both versions of this mode require an excellent Automata-LodMod. LodMod now allows the game to play videos at resolutions higher than 1080p. Huge thanks to stoker25 (Havoc) for making this possible.

It looks like LodMod needs to be loaded directly by the game (using a DLL called xinput1_4.dll or dxgi.dll or dinput8.dll) in order for the code associated with playing movies to work, if it is loaded as a SpecialK / FAR plugin then it will not work.

Download and unzip all zip files for the resolution you choose.

Copy all USM files in the movie directory on top of the originals located at "Steam\steamapps\common\NieRAutomata\data\movie" and overwrite. Back up the originals beforehand if you want to be able to return to them without reloading from Steam.

The first archive for each resolution also contains the LodMod.ini file in the movie folder along with the video (not to be confused with the main one in the game's EXE directory) - this file MUST also be copied to the game's movie directory along with the video, otherwise the video won't play (this file contains a buffer size override for playing movies with video resolution specific settings, so the settings don't need to be changed mainly by LodMod.ini).

To make sure everything is working properly, start the game and when you get to the screen labeled "Press Any Button", wait about 30 seconds without pressing anything, and the ride clip should start if it doesn't, it means something is done wrong.
