About This Mod

Max's car is a black "Pursuit Special" modified by film artist John Dowding (often mistaken for "The Interceptor" as a mechanic in Mad Max 2: Road Warrior), who is often mistaken for "The Interceptor" as a mechanic in Mad Max 2: Road Warrior calls her "the last of the V8 interceptors". And so it was.


In the original film, the car was white, not black, and did not look like a monster on wheels. Especially for the film, it was changed beyond recognition to give the car an entourage. The Falcon was fitted with a spoiler, an exhaust pipe near the rear wheels, and plastic panels and fake headlights on the front. A compressor with air intakes was sticking out of the hood. In the film, when Max starts the Stalker engine, the compressor starts to shake impressively, demonstrating the immense power of the powertrain. But in fact, the compressor in the film is just a prop. The production Falcon was powered by a Cleveland 351 V8 engine with four valves per cylinder, producing 330 bhp. It was later fitted with a Vailland roots compressor, but without the giant "meat grinder" specifically designed for the film. However, the standard Falcon engine was by no means a weak engine.
