Brief foreword - A Typical Experience
Monster Hunter Rise has craft recipes that require not only a certain number of fixed ingredients, but any number of ingredients that the player can freely choose from certain categories. This is certainly a great feature because it provides more flexibility, but the way Capcom handles wishlist notifications, rather than this feature, is not the best. With this system there are 2 types of wish list notifications that you can see when the player returns to the village:
Notification of "collection of necessary materials"
This notice is sent when you have all fixed, explicitly specified materials for the recipe item. For example:
Notification of "required types of collected materials"
This notification is sent when you have enough material from the material category for the recipe item (if any). For example:
Simple enough, right? Of course, but unfortunately, the game doesn't explain this connection to you when it introduces types of materials in crafting, which, as I'll explain below, can lead to some confusion. Moreover, in practice, this method of reporting is a little ineffective.
Where things can go wrong
Under the current system, a player is likely to find himself in a situation where he has enough category materials for a recipe item, but not all that is needed for the basic, fixed part of the recipe. Upon returning to the village, the player will be greeted with a message saying "the necessary types of materials are collected". The first few times, the player may be misled into believing that he can now make the item and rush to the forge, but will find that he is still missing the basic material.
I'm sure many players (including me) were in the same situation in the early hours of the game in Rise. It is very easy for a new player not to realize that the game does have two separate wish list notifications.
So how can the player know when he can create an item from the materials of the category? Of course, wait for you to receive both types of notifications at the same time! Exactly so, the game sends separate notifications when you receive enough material for the appropriate part of the recipe. It's already unintuitive, and even worse, the "materials collected" message may appear in several messages from the "types of materials collected" message if you have a lot of things on your wish list!
Players may receive a "Collect Materials" message, but they do not have enough category materials to make the item. Given that the player does not meet any of the requirements, this means that 2 of the possible consequences of the notification in the wish list for goods that require category materials can be misleading. Wish list notifications almost always mean something suspicious, because most often the result is compliance with certain requirements.
Things got worse...
Even if the player learns about this difference, these notifications will cease to be misleading and will become just noise. After a while, you may not notice when you can finally create a project, especially given the potential distance between notification pairs.
The current system, in addition to greatly reducing the usefulness of the wishlist and making it unreliable, some players do not use it at all. This is not an acceptable situation, so this mod is aimed at solving these problems.
Best solution
The ideal solution is obvious: notifications from the wish list are displayed only for projects that have been really completed. This means that, where applicable, only articles manufactured from all basic materials and sufficient material categories are excluded. To make the notification easy to read, only the message "collected the necessary materials" is displayed - of course, some recipes do not have the category "materials".
Simply put, if you receive a notification of any item on your wish list, you are guaranteed to be able to do so right now.
