About This Mod

Species mod adds fictional mobs with cool and unique features to your game. You ever wanted more fictional mobs to fit into your base game, Species is the mod that does just that! Reda, Ninni, Noon, GLaDOS Edition and Bornulhu have joined forces to create many kind and lovingly created creatures. Creatures and creatures added.

Characteristics.

Predator.

A large, neutral bird, living in distorted forests, dressed in a magnificent turquoise-blue cloak.

However, keep in mind that in the wild raptors will explode with rage if their plumage is completely cut off or they encounter a dried skeleton that they especially do not like.

Raptors can also be seen nesting in the chicken coops of Raptors, new structures located throughout the biome. From them you can get objects such as Weatherskelton skulls and a new resource - Raptor eggs.

Raptor eggs can be obtained in a co-operative or when breeding raptors with the help of Shroomlights lamps. Eggs can be placed and must be incubated by force, repeatedly dropping on the anvil.

If you try to pick up a broken Vraptor egg with a hoe, a new food item will appear - a broken Vraptor egg. After eating it, the player gains a new effect called "withering resistance". This is a reference to the fact that the raptor itself is also immune to damage from withering. Perhaps because of the resemblance to cocatrice. ......

Bird.

This tough-bodied bird (...) lives in a birch woodland consisting of several nests called a barth dwelling. The nests resemble a beehive and can hold three bartas at the same time.

The Bart people use a non-standard way of communicating, sending each other remote signals using a long, thin antenna on the top of their heads.

If Bart lives in a dwelling, he returns to it every night to lay eggs. Bart eggs can be used as projectiles, and if they hit a block, new bart eggs hatch from them. The hardened metal surface of these eggs also produces a transient stun effect (Birted), which makes the target immobile upon contact, which can make distant enemies flutter.

Limpet.

Avid speleologists can catch a glimpse of bipedal subterranean molluscs known as limpets. They have strong shells shining with minerals that match the height and biome on which their spawning grounds are located. This can be coal, amethyst, lapis lazuli, emerald, or even diamonds.

However, these shells are very durable, and damage below 12 points dealt by the player is easily reversed.

Fortunately, picks are sharp enough to break down these shells and can be used to extract minerals from the limpets. Unfortunately, the limpetes seem to know this and withdraw into their shells when pickered approaches.

If you hit the limpet with a pickaxe, he will start to split his shell, but he will panic and run away, so you will have to actively chase him. After each hit, the pickaxe goes into standby mode and must be fired several times before the shell cracks. When the sink splits, the appropriate mineral will fall out of it.

Luck and Silk Touch spells affect the shells, increasing the amount of minerals that fall out when broken, respectively, and partially saving the shell.

Room beetles.

Bedbugs in the warm biomes of Savannah and the Wasteland can be tamed with honey honeycombs and returned with a bottle of honey. On tamed room bugs, the player can ride or sit on them, during which they can take a loud nap.

Sleeping room bugs can be mounted on creatures, and established creatures can move on their backs; to force a creature down on a room bug, you can use Shift+right-click. This makes the movement of entities faster and more convenient.

Deep sea fish.

These translucent, bioluminescent creatures evolved in total darkness to inhabit the aquifers of the Deep Shale Layer. They are easily recognizable by their mesmerizing but melancholic sounds, and they often form groups. It has an amazing appearance: the outer membrane allows you to see all its internal systems and pulses flashes of light. It is a rare mob and can be collected into buckets by players who want to keep them in an aquarium.
