Respawn Obelisks Mod 1.20.1 - remakes the respawn system in Minecraft

Respawn Obelisks Mod is a small, simple, but influential mod that revamps the respawn system in Minecraft. Around the world you will find new "respawn obelisks". You can set up respawn on these obelisks by just clicking on them. This replaces the bed respawn function, so you can no longer respawn on the beds (change this in config). After death, when you reappear at these obelisks, they will lose a certain amount of charge. Keep the obelisk loaded with Ender's pearls and Ender's eyes (or if you put a lighthouse under the obelisk, you can get an infinite charge), otherwise when you try to revive it you will get a curse. The curse temporarily takes away some of your maximum health.

Obelisks only work in their measurements (if in the wrong measurement, for example, beds, there will be kabum). Obelisks in the world can be found in villages and small structures that appear in the biomes of the plains.

Obelisks in the bowels can be found in small black stone sanctuaries that appear in the bowels.

The final obelisks can be found on wild end ships navigating the outer end islands.

Over time, you'll want to move these obelisks out of their usual location. Breaking them, you get only a "sleeping obelisk" that does nothing by itself. Use JEI to learn how to turn these sleeping obelisks back into normal.

Resurgent obelisks also need active nuclei. In the wild obelisks, these nuclei already exist. You can use wild obelisk kernels in your personal obelisks, but you don't have the ability to create new kernels.

You can increase the maximum charge of kernels/obelisks in several ways. Check them out at JEI.

There are plenty of other possibilities in Respawn Obelisks, many of which may go unnoticed.

Core Management

To place the kernels in an obelisk, simply right-click on the obelisk containing the kernel. To remove it, press the obelisk with the core empty hand.

Obelisk charging

To charge an obelisk, simply right-click on it with an active item. All items for charging can be viewed in JEI.

Comparator support

Obelisks do support comparators! They will generate a red stone signal depending on the amount of charge of the obelisk. Make sure the comparator reads the bottom half of the obelisk.

Obelisk Setup

If you want to change the side of the obelisk where you're resurrected, just hold down shift and scroll the mouse wheel. (Make sure you do it on the bottom half of the obelisk.)

Teleportation

Using the recovery compass, you can teleport back to the obelisk by tying the compass to a stone beneath the obelisk.

Revival

Do you want to prevent the death of your pet? No problem! Obelisks can revive entities bound to their nuclei. When the strapped creature dies, a totem icon will appear above the obelisk. Use the totem of the non-dying on the obelisk to revive up to 3 dead entities.

If you can't bind an entity, it probably can't be reborn. In config you can find a white list of all creatures that can be revived. Most passive creatures must be supported by default.

Obelisk name

Do you want your obelisk to stand out? Simply rename the kernel in the anvil to change the name displayed above the obelisk.

Enchantment "Attached Soul" / "Attached to an Obelisk"

Want to keep items after death? Look further! When you revive at an obelisk, items with the spell "Tied to the obelisk" will be restored!

By default, there are 3 levels. Each level gives you a 25% chance to save an item. This can be configured. You can't trade with the villagers to get enchantment, and you can't find it in the table of enchantments. Change this in config.

The Curse of Immortality

When you revive an obelisk without charge, you will be cursed. Each level of this curse removes 1 heart, up to 5 times. After the 5th time you will be sent to the world of spawn.
