About This Mod

The Pellucid HD texture pack is designed to replace Minecraft's cartoonish graphics with more realistic images. Every scene should look impressive, and you will need relatively new hardware to run this package. We already like the look of the game with this resource pack, but it is still a work in progress. The developers intend to improve it significantly before the final version. This is good for Minecraft fans who want to display impressive graphics on new hardware.




However, the resource pack still provides Minecraft with detailed and complex graphics that work well on new hardware. Those who have newer gaming computers but still play Minecraft may feel that they are "wasting" their new hardware on a graphically simple game; with the Pellucid HD Texture Pack, it is obvious that Minecraft game looks high-tech and detailed, even though it is not. Each texture and object looks significantly different, so none of the locations look like regular Minecraft. The pack has also passed uniqueness tests and no one will mistake it for any other resource pack.

The developers must have adjusted and tested the graphics many times before releasing it to the public. With this resource pack, the game's forests are stunningly beautiful. The shadows make the layers of 2D foliage look gorgeous and blend well with the game's other graphic styles. Even the smallest plants cast realistic shadows. The graphic style is not for everyone, but the combination of high-resolution, realistic and unrealistic images is a great one. The water is realistic, with smooth waves and great reflections. It looks like it could have jumped out of a high-budget 3D game, but it doesn't clash with the rest of the style. Also worth mentioning is the look of the underground locations. The lava and wall textures remind me of classic first-person shooters with a similar aesthetic; games like "Doom" and "Quake" had many lava-filled caves with similar textures.
