About This Mod

Joy of Painting Mod allows you to create a clean canvas and palette with which you can draw your own paintings and hang them on the wall like vanilla paintings. Unleash your art or draw memes and experience the joy of drawing. This mod is compatible with Minecraft using the recommended version of Forge.

User's Guide:

First you need to create (or get from the creative inventory) a palette and a canvas. Crafting recipes are listed below.

Any combination of dyes is suitable for creating a palette, but you need at least one dye.

Then you can fill the palette with other dyes if you want.

There are currently four types of canvases. Basic - 1 block size. The rest are 1×2, 2×1 and 2×2 blocks.

Using the canvas (itself), right-click to view its contents.

Using a palette (itself) opens up a palette interface where you can mix colors to create your own.

If you hold the canvas in one hand and the palette in the other, you can open both interfaces at the same time and draw on the canvas using colors from the palette. You can also mix colors here.

Color mixing rules work in the same way as in vanilla leather armor painting mechanics.

Resize the brush with the mouse wheel and cancel errors with CTRL+Z.

After painting the canvas you can use it on the wall, as well as vanilla paintings to hang it on the wall. If you hit a hung canvas or break a block on which it rests, it will fall back as an object.
