About This Mod
Flywheel Mod (1.19.2) gives mod developers the tools to no longer worry about the performance or limitations of Minecraft's archaic rendering engine.
FEATURES.
Instancing: Flywheel provides a single An alternative way to render entities and tiles, taking advantage of GPU instancing. Thus, Flywheel gives developers the flexibility to define their own vertex and instance formats and write their own shaders to capture this data.
Shaders: To meet the needs of developers and leave more power to the engine, Flywheel provides a system for loading and templating custom shaders , which hides the details of the CPU/GPU interface. This system is currently under development. Backwards compatibility is not guaranteed.
PERFORMANCE: Flywheel uses technology to optimize the rendering of vanilla tile entities. Currently this is only implemented for chests and bells, but over time Flywheel will speed up the rendering of all tile entities and all entities. This will happen gradually and will be updated as individual optimizations are made.
