Feathers Mod (1.19.4) - A simple stamina mechanic for Minecraft
About This Mod
The Feathers mod (1.19.4) adds a set of blue feathers above the hunger bar for use in other mods as a stamina system. The number of feathers available to the player depends entirely on the weight of the armor. Armor weight is calculated automatically, but can be changed in the config. The mod also includes a number of potion effects that directly affect feather mechanics, and a super simple API for modders to add their own support.
Features.
Armor Weight:
By default, all armor items in the game (both vanilla and modified) have weight. Weight directly affects the number of quills a player can use, designated by steel quills.
This forces players to make decisions in battle that previously didn't matter. Better armor provides better protection, but is less maneuverable. On the other hand, inferior armor deals more damage on hit, but increases available stamina!
Potion Effects:
Feathers adds three new potion effects to the game! They all appear in the Vanilla+ Feathers panel.
Stamina: Additional feathers are added to the panel, just as absorption effects affect health.
Energetic: Feathers are restored faster!
Cold: Feathers are not restored while this effect is active.
