About This Mod

Poltergeist.

Adds things you can do with dead players by flying around them in a free camera and interacting with them in a variety of ways.


Feature.


Instead of just watching the game, you can fly in a free camera to see what your friends are doing and explore the map.

Teleport to the player (or his remains) at the touch of a button.

Turn on global light to illuminate dark areas when the player is dead.

Different interactions are possible. Joke with friends or try to chat with them because of the curtain.

Management:

Motion: Similar to moving a live character, but you can change height by moving forward or backward.

Move up and down: can reconnect in game settings.

Height Lock: The height lock can be disabled so that the camera cannot move up or down except with the help of special vertical controls. You can switch in the game settings.

Sprint: Pressing the sprint key increases the speed of moving the camera by 5 times.

ToggleLight: toggles global light to help you see in dark areas when you're dead with the left mouse button. You can reconnect in the game settings.


Teleport: Pressing the numeric key teleports you to the appropriate player in the order of joining. So, the host - 1, the first joined player - 2 and so on.


Interaction: Pressing the interact key (default is 'e') on the following objects allows you to interact with them as if they were alive. You can hurt or help your friends. You can reconnect in game settings.


Switching modes: Use "Q" to switch between vanilla mode and tracker mode. You can reconnect in game settings.


Manifestation: Key 'C' to appear temporarily before the living. You can reconnect in the game settings.


Interactive Objects


Doors: can be opened and closed.


Pneumatic doors: Pneumatic doors can be opened and closed when supplying power.


Hangar doors: Turn the Artifice lever to open and close large hangar doors.


The valves can stop the steam from escaping.


Ship light switch/remote control: on and off.


Ship Door Switch: Allows you to open or close the ship door.


Company bell: rings the company bell.


Noise accessories: sound-removing items such as horns, air sirens, tape recorders, etc.


Boomboxes: can be switched on and off on the floor.


Ship decorations: All ship decorations that can be bought in vanilla with interactive features can be used by ghosts.


Lockers in the rooms: doors of lockers for storing things that are sometimes found in the rooms.


Teasing the enemy: Prevents the enemy from moving. But be careful, do not overdo it, because it will break the nearest player.


Note: This deals only 0 damage to the enemy. Some enemies are not interesting to beat.


Loud horn: can be turned on with an interval of 1 second.


Radar amplifier: can be turned on and off.


Whoopi Pillow: Makes a sound during flight.


Power.


Interacting with human aircraft is not easy and requires some effort from the Ghost. The power system reflects this.




Interaction with different objects consumes energy - a resource that is slowly replenished with time.


As more players die, the maximum power available to the ghost increases.


Some actions require so much energy that they can only be performed after the death of a certain number of players. So at first, ghosts can't do much, but as time goes on, they become more and more skilled.


Configuration settings.


Maud uses Sigurd's CSync to pass most of the configuration parameters from the host to the participating players. This means that everyone you want to play with must have a mod set to participate in the same lobby.




Client-side configurations.


These settings are not synchronized and can be customized to suit your personal preferences.



DefaultToVanilla:true means that after death you will start the game in vanilla viewer mode.


GhostLightIntensity: changes the intensity of light available to ghosts (warning: there is a lot of fog in the game, so increasing the intensity of light may result in reduced visibility).


Synchronize settings



These settings are synchronized, and the host settings are shared by everyone.



MaxPower: The maximum power available to the host.


PowerRegen: The amount of energy that the Ghost will regenerate per second.


AliveforMaxPower: The maximum number of players that Ghost can keep alive to reach maximum power.


(For example, if this value is 3, Ghost will reach maximum power while 3 or fewer players are alive.)


PesterAggroTimespan: How many seconds will it take for an opponent to forget he is being bothered by a ghost.


AggroHit Condition: AggroHit Condition: The number of times a ghost aggressively attacks the same enemy, the enemy will attack the closest player in sight.


Cost: different cost of interaction can be set:


Ordinary doors.


Large doors: This category includes both pressurized factory doors and Artifice hangar doors. Noise elements


Steam valves


Ship's doors


Company bells


Enemy intervention


Manifests


Other interactions not covered by other categories, such as ship decoration.


Installation.



Like all other BepInEx-based mods, mods should work if you put their folder in BepInEx/plugins. Don't forget to also install the dependencies listed in Thunderstore. The mod has a feature that requires all players to install this mod. If you enable this mod, players who do not have it installed will not be able to join you and you will not be able to join them.



Known Errors/Other Comments.


We haven't figured out how to get the weather effects to work properly yet, so they're based on the last player to teleport (or where he died if he hasn't teleported to anyone yet). This means that if you die in the rain and fly into the dungeon, it will rain inside.


The dungeon is far underground, so if you want to explore it, you'll have to teleport to someone who's already there, or fly over the ground.
