About This Mod

Mirage.

Mirage is a mod that empowers any enemy with the ability to mimic the player's voice (fully synchronized with all players). This mod is required for the host and all customers.

⚠️ WARNING: This mod does not replace Skinwalkers + MaskedEnemyOverhaul.

This mod contains features that are not required by default (for example, masked enemies will sleep in all months), and the settings will need to be adjusted.

Showcase MOD.

Features (all of the following features are configurable)

All enemies can mimic the voice of the player in the game.

When spawning, each enemy always chooses a player whose voice he will imitate.

Votes are synchronized for all players. This means that everyone hears the same voice and the same words at the same time.

By default, only masked enemies simulate voice, but other enemies can be enabled in the settings.

Masked enemies use the player's clothes and makeup to imitate them.

Remove masks from enemies in masks.

Remove hand animations from masked enemies.

Configurations are synchronized with all players (only host configurations are used).

The probability of spawning enemies in masks can be adjusted.

The weight of the spawn for each month is calculated internally.

By default, enemies are 2% more likely to appear in masks each month.

Note: setting the probability of spawn to 25% guarantees one spawn per turn.

Question How can I help?

If you have a question, create a new discussion on GitHub. We'll respond as soon as we can.

I found a mistake. Where can I report it?

If you find a bug, please create a new question on GitHub. Please note that this is a Lethal Company-only error message.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

Do I need Skinwalkers to run this fashion?

No, Mirage is a separate mod; if you install both Mirage and Skinwalkers, the Skinwalkers sound will play alongside Mirage.

Can I use MaskedEnemyOverhaul with this mod?

If you use MaskedEnemyOverhaul, the imitation sound will no longer match the enemy's masked costume.

Use MaskedEnemyOverhaulFork instead and set MaskedPlayerEnemy.mimickingPlayer not to touch to true.

If you're not using features like Nameplate, Fading Mask, or Zombie Apocalypse, you probably don't need Mirage because it already covers all the other features.

Do I need to install DissonanceLagFix?

No, you don't. Mirage already has a patch that fixes lags since version 1.0.16.

Does fashion support cosmetics?

Yes, all mods applied to disguised enemies are compatible with Mirage.

If your cosmetic mod does not support masked enemies, you need to contact the fashion author for support.

Does this mod use voice recognition or artificial intelligence?

No, he doesn't. Maud does not use voice recognition or artificial intelligence. This was originally planned in the v2.0.0.0 update, but due to lack of time and life priorities, the update was not made.

Can I listen to my voice through VoiceManager?

This is possible by default. Each player can choose not to hear monsters imitating their own voice by going to the LethalSettings Fashion Settings in Mirage.

What happened to the v2 update (speech recognition + machine learning)?

The work is 99% complete, but 1DWalker and I have other life responsibilities that need to be prioritized. We can no longer justify spending all our time on a free project, so we decided to stop releasing the update altogether.

I apologize for the disappointment of everyone who was looking forward to the V2 update.

Recommended mods.

StarlancerAIFix - Fix spam EnableEnemyMesh when masked enemies enter areas they should not fall into.

GeneralImprovements - Optionally added player name tags for disguised enemies and disabled radar rotation.

Zombies - Deleted By SpawnOnPlayerDeath! Use this if you want to resurrect the player as a zombie.

LethalIntelligenceExperimental - Changes in AI masks, support for transceiver in Mirage.

Can I reload the mod in Thunderstore?

No, reloading to Thunderstore is not allowed; if you want to create a mod pack, please use the official mods.

If you want to make small modifications for a friend, you should share the compiled .dll file directly and import it locally.

Credits

1DWalker - thank you for working on the v2 update. The v2 update is no longer available, but we would like to point out that the update would not have been possible without their work on the machine learning part of the code base.

IntegrityFate - commissioned to create a new logo for Mirage and bring in the design of its own interpretation. It is located here: https://integrityfate.com/.
