About This Mod

LUMENARIUM : Reasons to Wear Sunglasses Are available for Vanilla, Fellout, URWL, Empirical Weather and Nevada Skies as soon as the sunglasses or in combination with DAYLIGHTS.

LUMENARIUM : Why wear sunglasses.

Did you know that Fallout New Vegas takes place in the desert? I've never walked in the desert in my life on a sunny afternoon without sunglasses. There are sunglasses in the game, but they do nothing, and there is no reason to wear them. This is because there is not enough light during the day.

LUMENARIUM is a set of sunglasses and a "clear day" light.

All LUMENARIUM sunglasses have advanced features including a patented PERCEPTIONPlus anti-glare coating.

Lumenariam sunglasses are premium and come with a free trial dimmer.

Visit the LUMENARIUM Sales Station and sales representative next to the PROSPECTOR Salon in GOODSPRINGS.

Over the years, the LUMENARIUM brand has become synonymous with high-quality sunglasses with incredible extensions that help you get through the wasteland.

In the game, this means that VANILLA sunglasses have been designed to be both cosmetically and strategically useful.

GoodSprings's sales representative offers PREMIUM sunglasses at a great price.

Next to it is the TRIAL station, which offers all the same benefits of Vanilla, but with darkened sunglasses.

Currently, LUMENARIUM consists of three modes to maintain compatibility with different weather modes and offer a variety of experiences:

LUMENARIUM - Working Sunglasses Only.esp.

This is the main mode. It contains information about glasses, their effects, solar reflections, graphics, vendors, vending machines, and signage.

Mod also "enhances" vanilla sunglasses to the LUMENARIUM brand; each LUMENARIUM sunscreen has unique extensions and dimming features.

When you use the PIP-BOY APPAREL tab, the world gets darker and you get a little better at something or something.

This component can be used without the other two, but in my opinion, it makes no sense to use sunglasses to dim the screen, unless it is a bright day.

When you take off your sunglasses, the world gets brighter and you get back to normal.

Sunglasses work like real sunglasses. If you leave them on when you are indoors, it will be too dark. If you put them on at night, you'll bump into objects.

For ease of use, I assigned hotkeys.

Lumenarium glasses can be broken/repaired/removed, but if you lose them, they are reborn on machines and some NPCs (NPCs with senses).

Lumenarium - bright sunny day.esp

This component adds DAY BRIGHTENER mode to the game. When activated, this mode automatically makes weather changes and certain times of the day bright enough to wear sunglasses. It only works on sunny days, so you don't need to wear sunglasses on rainy days.

Look towards the sun.

Luminaires and ElectroCity - Nevada Sky Replacer.ESP

This feature replaces NEVADA SKIES ESP during installation. It is an exact copy of the original file with minor modifications to make it more compatible with LUMENARIUM.

Do not use this file unless you are using NEVADA SKIES. If you are not using LUMENARIUM - BRIGHT CLEAR DAYS, do not use this file.

ELECTRO-CITY is my other mod that uses this modifier, but if you don't use it, don't worry. I'm just making my life easier by having one file for both. It will also make things less confusing for those who use both LUMENARIUM and ELECTRO-CITY.

Lighter is connected to the in-game weather cycle. Some days it's so light that it's crazy, other days it's so nice that you don't need sunglasses. Sunglasses are not needed on cloudy days, indoors or on a strip. The brightness decreases depending on the weather in the game, so the switch between them is smooth.

Please note that your viewing experience will differ from mine, so adjust your GAMMA or monitor accordingly. Even in daylight you must be clearly visible, except for distant objects. And yes, it's bright.

I set IMPS TIMESCALE ADJUSTER LUMENARIUM on 10 (http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php.id=34718)

It's a work in progress, because I'm changing settings, adding new ones, and being a maintainer. I can accept applications, so please contact me in the comments.

V5A :

You have changed the way you render BRIGHT DAYS. Woo.

V4G:

A little "blur" of edges when wearing LUMENARIUM glasses. We found that this affects FPS in combination with other mods.

V4F:

UPDATED: NEVADA SKIES 0-6-3 compatibility modifier. No other changes, so if you don't use NEVADA SKIES, don't waste bandwidth ;)

v4E:

FIX: NSKIES 062 days are brighter than V4D days.

Removed: The light on the LUMENARIUM billboard.

V4D:

UPDATED: 'Modifier' of NEVADA SKIES 0-6-2 compatibility. There are no other changes, so if you are not using NEVADA SKIES, do not waste bandwidth;).

v4C:

UPGRADE : NEVADA SKIES 0-6-1 is now supported.

ADDED : Sunglasses only.

Minor changes in the package to make it easier to keep track of changes in the most popular weather patterns.

V4B:

FIXED : NEVADA SKIES Replacer, this file is included in the main download file. This substitute is a full version of NEVADA SKIES 0-6, so there is no need to install both the original and this substitute.

MORE OPTIONS : A great new palette for Tapio's FNV ENHANCED SHADOWS.

REVISED : DAY LIGHTING SETTINGS FOR UWRL.

V4A:

A slightly dimmed daytime.

ADDED: Compatibility patch for NEVADA SKIES MOD and optional NEVADA SKIES Night Dimmer.

Added: Advanced: Palette for FNV ENHANCED SHADOWS.

Available on: -----

v3a:

Completely upgraded, all FNVEDIT errors eliminated.

Deleted "L" splash screen.

-----

V2a:

Added more interesting things. First, there is a sales representative selling premium lighting. Premium Luminaires - these are additional features that make the trip more comfortable. Each version offers something of its own.

ADDED Authority Glass also adds functionality (and a new name) based on user requests.

ADDED : A free point-of-sale brochure will help you learn more about these features.

ADDENDUM: If you do not want to pay for sunglasses, there is an unworked free in the SALES MACHINE called DIMMERS.

PROBLEM : There is a problem with an unused fashion part returning an error in FNEDIT. It doesn't affect functionality and I'll take care of it next time, but I'm a little tired of looking at screens today, GECK is good in that regard.

------

V1B:

Hell. For those of you who are ahead of me, let me introduce:

"Bright DR. Lights. LI for helmets and armor."

You don't have to take off your helmet to use the light.

If you already have a light, throw it away and buy a BRIGHT-RIGHT. In fact, BRIGHT-RIGHT will work with all the other glasses, including new special mods.

BRIGHT-RIGHT can be purchased from GOODSPRINGS vending machines.

Updated: Name of celebrity-supported LUMENARIUM product. The points are the same, but the names are different.

Added: Brochures are available in vending machines.

Added: New sunglasses. Sunglasses suitable for bright days and sunglasses against dust.

Added: Some boot screens have been replaced.

Available on: ---------

V1A:

Version 1A is fully functional, tested and theoretically ready for release. In the future we can change the sentiment depending on the possibilities.

I'm always interested in feedback, so feel free to comment or write to me in the PS. Of course, we cannot consider all options, so your views are welcome.

Almost the same as other mods.

Extract the archive and copy everything to the DATA folder.

Just in case, remember to do a clean save before upgrading.

To install:

Detailed README can be found inside the package.

LUMENARIUM is now fully compatible:

FELLOUT (http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php.id=34888))

URWL (http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php.id=35570))

empirical weather (http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php.id=35260))

Vanilla

F:NV Extended shaders (http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php.id=34868))

NEVADA SKY (using REPLACER files)

The others must work, too.

Most of the above mods will continue to be developed, so I will try to speed up the process a little bit if required.

Night/Enhanced Vision Mod : LUMENARIUM should work with them if you don't use in-game sunglasses. If sunglasses are used, the last loaded mode in the order of loading wins.

Inventory sorter: LUMENARIUM is designed to work with the inventory sorter. Place LUMENARIUM after inventory sorter.

Friendly frame rate.

========

To uninstall LUMENARIUM (completely or partially):

Remove the ESP from the installation sequence.

Remove the LUMENARIUM folder from the DATA/TEXTURES.

Remove the LOADING folder from DATA/TEXTURES/INTERFACE (LOADING SCREENS can be removed without affecting the mode).

Remove nv_sunglare.dds from the DATA/TEXTURES/SKY folder.

(can be removed without affecting SUNGLARE mode).

Remove the BillboardBlank.dds file from DATA/TEXTURES/CLUTTER/BILLBOARDS.

(BILLBOARD can be removed without affecting the mod, in which case the signature next to the sales representative will return to the vanilla "blank" texture.)

As a precaution, it is also recommended to remove and discard the LUMENARIUM SPECS in the game before deleting the mod. There's no point in leaving things as they are, because they'll just go back to VANILLA, but you never know.

LUMENARIUM GECK has three display area switches that you can easily adjust to your liking. Everyone has their own preferences and screens, so some people like to know how to set them up.

What LUMENARIUM actually does is overwrite IMAGESPACEMODIFIER's "NVWastelandIS" with a brighter version. It's very simple. In Nevada Skies, Yossarian Day chose not to use the imagespace modifier, so (with his permission) I added an "empty" version to his ESP that can be "overwritten" with a version of LUMENARIUM.

I see.

Let me know if you find anything interesting:

Image Field Modifiers

NVWastelandIS: The in-game "day" modifier used by most weather modes.

AAALumenariumISFX: Modifier for daylight.

AAASunglassesDIMMER: A shade modifier for sunglasses.

AAASunglassesDIMMERNIGHTS : Modifier for night dimming. I prefer darker nights than in vanilla, and as a function of the game engine's weather cycle, I had to add a darkening device, which is affected by the LUMENARIUM weather cycle.

ARMOR: LUMENARIUM Blackout effects overlay these.

Eyeglasses Shadow

Turtle shell glasses

Three Dogs glasses

DrLi glasses

NCRRangerCivilian Glasses

Glasses for reading Cltr

Containers vending machine and vending machine personnel according to Luminarie specifications

Vending Machine VLootSS Gen10

LUMENARIUM shopping container
