About This Mod

Limit the number of characters in a special translator

Sets the number of characters that can be entered and displayed by the signal converter. It will also patch the terminal input to allow up to 9999 characters. In addition, this setting must be configured for all mode users, otherwise messages sent by other people will be truncated to 9.


The plugin allows you to perform various settings to improve the usability of the signal transmitter to your liking, and this is done in the BepInEx configuration file in BepInEx/config/CustomTranslatorCharLimit.cfg. The settings are as follows:


MaxCharLength: MaxCharLength: The maximum number of characters that can be entered in a translator. The default value is 10, but any number between 1 and 9999 can be set. The default value is 10.


MinSecondsToWait: The signaling translator sends symbols at random intervals between each character. Selecting this option changes the minimum amount of time to wait between each character. The default value is 0.7.


MaxSecondsToWait: As above, setting this option changes the maximum time-out value between each character. The default value is 2.7.


SecondsToWait: This parameter specifies a fixed signal translator delay time for each character. Therefore, all characters are entered at the same time, but the UseRNG parameter below must be false.


UseRNG: This option sets whether to use a random number generator to determine the delay between each character; if set to false, the SecondsToWait option is used instead. The default is true, using the constraints specified by the MinSecondsToWait and MaxSecondsToWait parameters.
