About This Mod
Hi, this is my first fashion. I only do this project in my spare time, so don't wait for regular updates - I only work on this fashion when I have time and desire. Now it is also a bit uneven (some textures do not fit together as well as one would like, and probably need to be recycled), but I think it already creates a rather pleasant "winter mood". If you have suggestions that I could change or improve, please feel free to tell me!
Current Features
New textures for terrain, roads, etc.
New textures for vegetation
New textures for some roofs (currently only the general roof textures for most homes are snowcovered, but not the individual ones that are used in all large buildings such as castles, monasteries, etc.)
Not yet enabled features
New textures for all roofs (quite a lot of work, since files containing roof textures have other textures of the same building)
New roof textures for low LOD models of houses (low LOD models also have low-resolution textures that need to be replaced separately, so now the roofs are snowed only near, but not when you look at the model from afar)
Replace the overlaying of rain with snowflakes (also quite a lot of work, since I will also have to replace/remove the sounds of rain, change the speed of snow/rain fall and maybe add movement aside to make the snow look more realistic - I need to do some more research on this topic, as I'm not sure how to do it right now)
Replace the sound of walking on the grass with the sound that sounds like you're walking on the snow (not sure how much work it will take until I've studied sound modding at all)
Add lower-resolution textures to improve loading times at lower texture settings
Requirements
The mod has no dependencies and must work with any version of the game
Installation
Download a zip file
Go to the KCD installation directory
Create the Mods folder if it does not already exist
Extract the Snow-Mod folder from the zip file into the Mods folder.
