Sequential Coating Headwear Helmets
About This Mod
Increases the head/helmet cover of most helmets to 100%, but maintains vanilla balance, reducing resistance by the same amount as increasing the cover.
100% coverage of the helmet without compromising the vanilla balance!
Mainly permanent head/helmet
1) 100% coverage of most goals/helmets.
2) Reduce the damage resistance of these helmets to compensate for the increased coverage.
3) Remove gear restrictions on any hats/helmets, allowing beeches to wear whatever they want on their heads (and other races, too).
If the helmet has a 50% chance of blocking 100% damage, it now has a 50% chance of blocking 100% damage.
No longer need to worry that 90 percent protection won't prevent a 10 percent chance of a critical head hit. Fewer unsuccessful head shots and more stable and reliable hats/helmets for both players and enemy NPCs.
Straight buffs for helmets (helmets) to keep the average balance of the original vanilla, as well as a reasonable cost for the situation.
Increase consumer/luter confidence in investing/renting a good helmet!
In more detail.
-Most helmets provide up to 100% protection, but the resistance to blindness, cuts and harpoons decreases with increasing percentage protection.
-For example, the iron helmet has 70 to 100% protection, which increases by 30%, so the resistance value is reduced by 30%, which is equal to the average damage reduction.
-Removed some parts of the helmets with racial restrictions.
-Beeps and other hive workers may wear samurai helmets and police helmets. That is why we have removed restrictions on equipment. Please note that I am not responsible for how ridiculous your character or other NPCs look with certain race + helmet combinations.
-How Kenshi handles the situation with the armor depends on the type of armor and the material from which it is made, so downgrading the type, for example [Medium]=>[Light], and providing a light buffa is better than a large downgrade and no change of type. We've seen that this gives better results than what it has no effect on the player, since the type will just look different in the in-game tooltip than in the vanilla description. For example, Iron Hat has a 30% reduction in statuses because it has a [Light] layer, not a [Medium] layer.
-Other vital organs such as chest, abdomen and arms have multiple cover options at 100% or higher in body slots and shirts and have layers to increase damage potential and reduce chance. Even if many armor has a low level of limb protection, these are non-critical limbs that the character can afford to lose, and most players seem not to mind doing so.
-Example: The cover of the heavy paladin hachigan was increased from 90% to 100% and the cover was increased by 10%, which reduces dullness resistance, slash resistance, and harpoon resistance by 10% from their baseline values.
Standard Paladin heavy hachigan;
-Coverage [90]=>[100]%.
-Impact resistance [28]=>[25]%.
-Cut resistance [39]=>[36]%.
-Harpoon resistance [36]=>[32]pt.
However, the material's armor bonus is proportional to the item's rating, so lower-ranking helmets/helmets may receive slightly lower resistance due to the new reinforcement of the helmet's envelope.
For example, resistance to blunt weapons of low-rank helmets/helmets may increase from 3 to 4%. Early gamers and those who like to plunder in the dust need everything they can get. After all, Kenshi’s world is a rugged place.
Unfortunately, because the Kenshi have rigidly tied the weight of armor and the cost of the craft materials to coverage, the weight and materials for crafting all helmets/helmets will increase as coverage increases. Chain and plate armor will increase from 4.5 or 5 kg to 6 kg.
- If we find a solution to this problem in the future, we will definitely implement it, but for now, unfortunately, the weight of the most affected chain / plate helmets will increase by 1-2 kg, and the labor costs will increase very little.

*Ashland Hat has very low cut and harpoon resistance, so any changes will only shift the decimal point and will not bring much benefit to Buff for the hunter?

-Coverage increased:[95]=>[100]%.
*Coverage increases to 100% if you have a mod making this helmet mined or craft. We did not think that a 5% increase in coverage was too much to justify the deterioration of the helmet, which is already below average.

-No other changes.
Coverage increased to 50%. A real coin toss took place, a real test of skill for the people of Kenshi.
