About This Mod

Welcome to Rottumer Island! It's a fictional map based on my ideas. The island was created by reclaiming land from the Wadden Sea (Netherlands) with the aim of expanding areas for dairy and arable farming. There is also a production forest that provides timber for use on the island or for processing into goods that can be shipped to the mainland. The dairy farms on the island are modeled on those on the mainland in the northern Netherlands to assess their effectiveness in the new environment. The island is replete with lakes connected by canals that can be used to irrigate livestock and greenhouses, but not for smaller ditches. 


Most of the island is flat, which gives you the opportunity to set up your farm or production facilities in any convenient location. If you prefer larger fields, you can fill ditches to combine plots or farmland.
