Familiar Friends - Pip-Boy 2500 - Handheld Pipboy

The successor to the rugged Pip-Boy 2000 of the Fallout 1 and 2 and the predecessor of the newer Pip-Boy 3000 with an arm mount. This Is The Pip-Boy 2500.

This mode requires New Vegas Script Extender.

Are you a fan of classic Fallout or just want to change the scene when someone pokes a personal data processor in your face? Whatever the reason, you should try the Pip-Boy 2500 right now.

The Pip-Boy 2500 is the successor to the sturdy Pip-Boy 2000 and the last predecessor to the Pip-Boy 3000. This version replaces the hand-worn Pip-Boy 3000 with the hand-worn Pip-Boy 2500; the glove that came with the 3000 was also removed.

The Pip-Boy 2500 has a larger and wider screen than the 2000 model; unlike the 3000, the 2500 works through a series of visible vacuum tubes and has a more traditional design.

Installation.

If you have problems with the NVSE or don't like the animation of this version, try Pip-Boy 2500A instead.

1. Launch the Nexus mod manager.

2. Download the file and install/activate it from Mod Manager.

3. Download the game and wait until the Pip-Boy 2500 activated message appears in the top left corner.

4. Press Pip-Boy (default: Tab) to display the "new" Pip-Boy 2500.

5. go to ITEMS and enter the AID tab; locate and use the RobCo Pip-Boy 2500 Widget widget to install a new PIP. This tool allows you to change the screen size (FOV) of the Pip-Boy and enable various modifications.

Note that you can change the color of the Pip-Boy screen in the Options > Display menu. Changing the color to green gives the game a retro feel.

If your resolution is low, you may not need to press STATS/ITEMS/DATA with the mouse. In this case, use F1/F2/F3 to switch between these menus and change FOV using [RobCo Pip-Boy 2500 Widget].

Deleting.

Removal: Failure to follow the instructions below can cause the Pip-Boy to malfunction.

1. remove the game using in-game tools. Quickly save and exit the game; 2. Remove mods from the mod manager. This will delete the .ESP and animation (.KF) files.

2. Restart the game and check if the Pip-Boy 3000 and the original wrist animation are back.

If they are back, go to Step 4.

If not, go to Step 3.

3. If the original Pip Boy wrist animation is not back, quit the game without saving and manually delete the following folders and files

If the real Pip-Boy 3000 doesn't appear on your wrist when you restart the game, try entering player.additem 00015038 in the console. Then type player.equipitem 00015038 to attach the Pip-Boy 3000.

My left wrist/forearm is stuck. Or where the Pip-Boy 3000 should be in third-person view, there is an empty space.

The hand has a slit in which the Pip-Boy 3000 should not be visible. The hands may look ridiculous, bent, or clenched. However, this problem can be completely fixed using the Vivanto's Pip-Boy Remover mode. Note that if you use this mode, you must change the FOV Pip-Boy using the included FOV knob. Also, if you reinstall the Pip-Boy 2500, make sure that the mod is not installed.

The Pip-Boy 2500 is very large. It occupies the entire screen.

The Pip-Boy disappeared after installation. If you have installed this mod in a game while saving the Readius or a very old version of the Pip-Boy 2500, you can lose the Pip-Boy and see empty palms every time you try to remove the Pip-Boy.

In this case, be sure to perform a complete uninstall before upgrading. For removal instructions, see above.

Otherwise, the script may not initialize properly. Try logging in to the console (by pressing ~) and typing player.additem XX000ADE 1 to add 2500 to your inventory, and then try to equip by typing player.equipitem XX000ADE. Of course, replace XX with the installation number of this fashion.

If you use the "Pip-Boy Remover" mod I recommend, be sure to disable it before reinstalling from scratch.

The problem is that Pipboy is trying to access it before it is granted to him. Due to the role-playing mode, the game assumes that you already have a Pip-Boy 3000, so you get nothing. Simple Solution Activate the mod of the Pip-Boy 2500 while in the role-playing world, after the character creation phase. Don't use the Pip-Boy in Dr. Mitchell's house. If you try to take Pip Boy outside, the script will scroll him and you will start to get a dressing error. The only way to make things right is to start a new game."
