About This Mod

Description.

This is a revision of the balance and load for New Vegas Bounties 1 LE.


Features.

No more non-playable weapons dealing bonus damage. Your fights will be fairer, but enemies will show more initiative in your fights and tend to have better weapons.

Many of the simple yes answers when you give Randall the award have been adjusted to detail what actually happened.

(In one case, he implied outright that he had been told more than was written in the dialog. After this example was changed, it was decided to make all the replies to the "yes" dialog more descriptive).

All the yes answers to the question of whether you are ready to receive another award have been changed for diversity.

The new weapon is optional and automatically adjusts depending on the state of the base weapon being compared to.

The NPCs, which have only weapons and ammunition but no bullet list, now have additional casings and drains.

Sweet revenge was stabilized to be statistically closer to the usual .44. Its main advantage is speed of fire.

Tom Quigley.

Quigley was moved from his original location west of Poseidon's Gaza. Since this is the first award to reach it, takes time, and early mission rewards are for the early stages of the game, rather than the stage at which you normally get to them, this placement seems to be very late in the middle of the game. The part of Randall's dialog that specifically mentions this place is sewn in.

He is now in Scorpion Gorge, and his unique weapon has been replaced by the Cowboy Repeater. Due to this, the cowboy repeater can now be found in the early game in a state comparable to other arsenals of the early game. It is no longer possible to get a unique carbine for a trail before finding a normal carbine for a trail. The Ferguson rifle is therefore no longer available.

It has a set around it that makes its new location look neat, as if it had been there for some time. When you arrive at his house, you may notice that he is fighting scorpions. It's a necessity given its location, but he sees it as a functional feature. He can no longer kill at a distance and can lose a fight with scorpions if he gets closer. We think that this is a diegetic result: Those who use TLDs and have already found the fraternity may find that it interacts with the fraternity's scouts and supply specialists. It is also a necessary thing/function given its proximity to the sanctuary. Since he is still dressed as an NCR, it makes sense for them to fight alongside him.


Caravan attack:

Receiving Quantrill's note adds a note about what's written in the first pop-up window, in case you accidentally leave the menu without reading it.

After receiving Quantrill's memo, you won't be able to move quickly to the BOS shelter until you kill Onoda and get your finger back.

Onoda will immediately start fighting when she meets you. By default, it uses a multi-plasma rifle instead of a plasma rifle, and when used, the spread advantage is -50%. He's using "Stealth Fight" as soon as he comes into battle with you. If TTW is installed, it has night vision goggles to justify the start of the LOS battle; if CFWR is installed, it has CAWS and a Pulse Rifle instead of a Multi-Plasma Rifle. He uses a Pulse Rifle when engaging in combat, if you are wearing heavy armor. If not, it uses CAWS. If he dies, he drops both weapons. He planted mines to ambush BoS personnel.

 

Eileen.

By default, Eileen has Reinforced Leather Armour instead of Trash Marauder Armour; if she has STARS TTW installed, she uses Marauder Skull Armour + Helmet instead.

If it is not already active, it uses Psycho when it starts to engage.

He has two guards who use chemical and specialized munitions.

 

Karen.

Karen uses the Fire Ax instead of the Fire Ax. She also has the best armor and uses chemical weapons when she starts fighting you.

 

Collins.

Collins uses improved battle armor, a shotgun, and hollow bullets.

 

Tony Idaho.

Tony automatically starts the fight and skips the dialog if you have an LOS and no weapons. He also uses empty bullets.


Tommy.

Tommy uses a 12.7 mm pistol and is dressed in regular game clothes.


Alex.

Alex's henchmen run fast and everyone wears hats.

Their masks are not playable.

Their staff and clothes are in pretty good condition.

As they approach the corpse, the weapon is lifted, the controls are switched off, the lights are dimmed, and the controls are switched on again only at Alex's request. This is done to give the attacker a chance to shorten the distance and attack, rather than being cut off instantly.


Fred.

If you use NPC from Mojave, all scouts from the Great Khan near it will be disabled.

Text messages have been rewritten to speak hypothetically rather than present your character's concerns.

Fred has a cat's eye and his outfit has been changed to be more creepy when using STARS.


Mago

Mago's messages in the bunker now appear when he is in the bunker.

Gus's message now appears at the end of his request to leave, rather than at the beginning.

More sound and visual effects were added for Gus.

Rude behavior is now changed to that of the Ripper.

Added a few minor sounds to improve consistency.

The number of clips found on the victim's body in the cell is now equal to the player's luck.

There's a weapon hidden in the cell.

Outside the chamber, a moderately good weapon requires a dexterity check to reach it.


Jack.

No more warnings.

Jack uses the .44 Magnum instead of other revolvers. So its special .357 is not available.

Jack will start a fight if you have an LOS and your weapon doesn't work.

The dialog answering Jack has been rewritten.


Kurt Katyr.

He now owns LMG and Thermal Lance, and has reinforced metal armor and a reinforced metal helmet.

His comrades have the raider's best gear and special weapons.


Chuck.

A message stating that he cannot be found appears in the cabin, rather than before crossing.

The ranger uses Sequoia and has more loot.

His comrades use the best weapons, and the Assassin uses the Legion's armor.

Billy.

When this task starts, you won't be able to move quickly to the marker on the map in the north corridor until you kill Billy.

Billy and his gang are better armed. The word "well armed" now has a dangerous connotation.


Dallas.

A voice call to send was rewritten, and the check was changed to charisma 9 or higher.

Strength task rewritten, control raised to 9+; XP bonus not given; control now 9+. This is due to the fact that with the help of Power Armor and Alchemy it is much, much easier to raise the Power to 9.

If you tell him to leave and he can't, the interaction status will go up. When this happens, if you find yourself closer than 1000 playing units (for example, 30 yards away) or at any distance + he will see you with a weapon and the crosshair will move to it, he will start to fight.

He's got more money, he's got a slaughterhouse, and he's holding an artisanal gun.


Javier Sugar.

It uses a shotgun with ammunition for rioting or a panoramic call if CFWR is installed.

The weapon is removed when it receives a fixed bill.


Cormac.

Minigan, increase health, decrease speed multiplier. Good helmet.


Judge:

When you enter the Judge's lair, you are informed that the removal of weapons may be considered an act of aggression and your weapons will be removed. If you get a weapon when you see someone in the bunker, it will immediately turn against you.

Judicial guards tend to be better equipped.

The scale of the Judicial Guard was reduced from 1.25 to 1.15. Previously, the knees were at shoulder level.

The equipment has DT 4 and DR. 4. In combat, they no longer use axes, instead a 12.7mm pistol with JHP ammunition. The ax is on the table, as are numerous hats.

Throat + tooth killing can be carried out by a cannibal or any horrible creature.

Speech check has been upgraded to 95 to kill his henchmen. The front-end speech check was replaced by a charisma check of 7.


Personalization: 

Automatic status change can be disabled in config ini.

Original versions of NVB/NVB2/NVB3/NVK are not supported.


New Vegas Bounties - Earlier First Target - Sweet Style Bounties Lite is available for those who want to get Tom Quigley's location changes.


Installation:

Normal installation.

Make sure that this file is installed after the NVB TTW patch.

This file must be installed and active at the same time that NVB is first installed and active; existing registrations with NVB installed are not supported.


Patch.

This is an internal Classic Fallout Weapons Remastered function. Mod works perfectly without patching.

There is a patch for the WAP AR series. This patch modifies the My Little Friend to use a modified textured version of the WAP assault carbine. Patch requires WAP Assault Carbine.


Compatibility.

Compatible with TTW 3.3+


Restrictions.

Initially, Quigley had an AI package that worked with certain deployments and patrol routes. That is less true now, perhaps because a scorpion appears on the battlefield. Moreover, the only time we see an AI package in action is when we watch it from afar, which we can no longer do (at least easily) in a new place.

Alex and his men are still slow to attack after talking to him. They can try to fix it.


Error:

Quigley sometimes takes a second to reload at the start of a fight. It would be nice if this were to happen more smoothly, but it is because the scenario forces him to use bullets and weapons. His use of a stealth boy sufficiently reduces this drawback.


Question:

Don't cut "Unique Weapons."

We're not going to do that.

Why does Chuck Frumentari have NCR money?

Frumentari is an undercover agent. Future releases.

New Vegas Killer and future NVB LE modules will be fixed in a similar way.
