Sierra Madre Suite Windows mod

Improved view from Sierra Madre suites, added transparent windows overlooking the casino's courtyard and mountains beyond.

This is done to enhance the fun of achieving the Dead Money penthouse by replacing the opaque vanilla windows with transparent windows that allow you to see the blood-red sky, the ruined casino courtyard and the mountains beyond. A quiet moment to pause before the final battle and reflect on how we got to this point.

The Executive Apartments have not been arranged beyond what is necessary to realize this function. The outer walls were slightly elongated, chairs and candlesticks slightly shifted, water stains, graffiti and light rays slightly adjusted. You wouldn't have noticed if we hadn't told you. Large windows also have curtains - both for aesthetics and for immersion in the atmosphere. Because it would be ridiculous to imagine Starlet Bella's private apartment without curtains.

I have wanted to do something similar for Sierra Madre since Lucky 38 Presidential Suite Strip View Windows came out. The previous mod was the result of trial and error with Sierra Madre Penthouse.

You can install it using your favorite mod manager. It is relatively safe to install while playing, unless you upload a save to a NVDLC01Suites slot.

This mod can be performance-intensive on low-end systems due to the increased cell size and room limitations used to integrate the view. Also, some buildings in the distance may bulge slightly, but only when using fog-based selection. For screenshots, this mode is disabled.

Masters of the Madre is fully compatible with other apartment-changing mods such as Sierra Madre Penthouse and Fallout DUST - Expansion Project.

At least place the NVDLC01Suites cell below the order in which mods that edit it, such as YUP, load.

AgentFuse's Sierra Madre Grand Entrance mod adds a beautiful courtyard between the front door of the casino and the lobby. This mod uses the level design for the view outside the suite's windows, so be sure to include this mod when playing in Dead Money.

BronSolo2323, the fashion author of Lucky 38 Presidential Suite Strip View Windows, gave me instructions on how to do it myself, as well as the grid used for the mountain horizon.

NoBarkNoBiteNoonan has made a re-UV version of the mesh for the windows of the suite.

He made a repeat UV version with a fixed mesh set so that the glass could actually be seen through it, while retaining the texture details of the dirty glass.

I'm very proud of this mod, because there's no more suitable backdrop for the courtyard entrance to the casino than this mod.
