About This Mod

A simple in-game diary allows you to take notes at any time. Notes are saved in a text file.

Press the shortcut key ("Home" by default) and a text entry window will appear; press "OK" to save, or "OK" to save the journal. The saved journal will be saved to DataPlayerJournal.txt (or Overwrite if you are using MO2). All entries share a player's diary.


The first time you start, an ini file is created that allows you to adjust the height and width of text fields and set hotkeys. Hotkeys are set using directx scanners. The ini files can be found in the DataconfigPlayerJournal.ini file (or in the Overwrite folder if MO2 is used).


Usage Notes:

This script attempts to move the cursor to the end of the log when it is opened. If the diary is very long, it may take a second or two.

You can access the log from the game or from the main menu.

Changes to the log will not take effect until the game is restarted.

The log can be updated in real time using a text editor. If you update the log using a text editor, the changes will be visible in the game the next time you open the log.

You can move the pointer using the left and right arrow keys, and the Page Up and Page Down keys.

Like all Script Runner scripts (as far as I know), the use of a hot reboot makes the file unreadable; this applies only to mod developers, since only they use a hot reboot.
