Mariposa - a playable race of super mutants
About This Mod
Did you ever want to become a super mutant? You didn't want to? Too bad! Mariposa has the opportunity to become a supermutant.
According to Feregus Urquhart, Fallout New Vegas was originally going to introduce supermutants as a playable race, but Bethesda allegedly advised Obsidian not to do so¹.
This mod is designed to fix this solution and implement a full-fledged race of supermutants, and Mariposa will rework quests, NPC reactions, voice replicas, perks, and more.
The project began two years after the release of Metamorphosis.
Unlike Metamorphosis, Mariposa allows players to choose their race at the beginning of the game. You can become a regular super mutant or a courier night-watcher. The race you choose determines your appearance, gameplay, and the reaction of the NPC.
Human gear is not available, but more than 50 types of armor and 20 types of accessories are available. Click here to see the list of reservations.
One of the advantages of living in Utvis is the availability of home centaurs. Mo, a new super mutant companion, can join you on Black Mountain after trading with Tabitha.

* Only mutants are accepted in Utvis. The Master's former human servants are conventionally accepted for breeding missions.
Mariposa uses New Vegas Script Extender and JIP LN NVSE Plugin.
