About This Mod

Replace the encoded high-quality audio-compatible mp3 files and all low-quality Fallout 1 & 2 songs on the FLAC spout of the original CD without losing any plugins or scripts.

FNV contains music from the original Fallout 1 and 2 games. The files are mp3 encoded with good settings (192 kbit, 48 kHz), but the encoding process or source used for these files was of poor quality, resulting in a thin 128 kbit Mp3 sound filled with artifacts from the previous Napster era.


This is a high-quality Fallout 1 & 2 music recovery with all mp3 files created from the lossless copy of the original Mark Morgan Fallout 1 & 2cd disks (archives were released in November years later). 


What does this mode do

It replaces the original low-quality Fallout 1 and 2 songs with a higher-fidelity version, the volume of which corresponds to the original game file, a simple format to provide the best quality, the restored 224 Kb songs, with simultaneous volume adjustment during lossless encoding in 48,000 kHz mp3 files. Transcoding FLAC fragments This single-pass method means that the original will not be edited losslessly, and also drills down the same bottom as when creating, editing mp3 files and saving jpeg several times. 



Why it matters

Several other mods attempted this, but they used poor quality sources or poor coding settings, resulting in the music being less clear-cut than fnv.

He reworked the entire FNV score, adding only classical music from FO2/2 and tracks from popular FO2 mods such as New Western Hymn: Sonora.
