About This Mod

TTW 3.3.2. The NPCs from both games were redesigned to reflect the story and the discreet visual design. Visual editing only.

This mod is a collaboration of Dracomies - Machienzo - RocketLombax and me using GECK, xEdit and DDS converters.

The mode is completely autonomous and requires nothing to work with, but make sure you have installed Bloadfacegenhead on 0 in your ini file. It contains all the facegens required for the mode to work, and setting it to 1 will cause the game to generate facegens on boot, which will negatively impact performance.

No other changes were made. Only the character registration was changed, and this was limited to visual changes only.

TTW NPC overhaul is a change of almost all NPC registrations in New Vegas, including Fallout 3 and DLC, in order to slightly deform facial features and change hair tone. In some cases, whole faces are remade, but only if they are considered a noticeable improvement.

Mod uses NVCE as the basis for New Vegas, and some NPCs are rewritten with NVR2 revisions.

FO3 is mainly edited in FO3R.

The mod does not include any external grid edits or textures from NVR2 or FO3R. It also does not include custom races.

All NPCs created from them have either been deleted or replaced by edits from the NVCE.

There is an important reason for this. Sequence. Personally, I don't feel comfortable with a plainly "modified" NPC standing next to a vanilla NPC. It should look organic and natural.

I'll continue to improve this mod with my edits, so please check in more often.

As for the seams, I did my best to make them as invisible as possible.

Noticeable changes.

Joshua Graham - this mod is fully incorporated into the game. It's the only time I've ever used external meshes and textures. Also objectively better than the vanilla game.

Father Elijah - NVCE user race used.

I personally changed several characters.

All NPCs have a new FaceGen created with BobG123's EGT editing, see its mod for a detailed explanation of what EGT is and why I included it here.

We also found out that TGA files created by GECK were not compressed during conversion - this is a common mistake that even experienced mod authors make. This results in artifacts and visible facial stripes when using facegen. It looks very ugly in the game.

Read more about what it means below:

Uncompressed file on the left, compressed file on the right. We've identified areas where the stripes are bad.

This is what it looks like in the game. As an example, we took this image from another page: on the left - compressed, on the right - uncompressed. The streak on the forehead is clearly visible.

When you use Facegen's uncompressed DDS files, the vanilla facial textures in the game really shine. Using vanilla texture paths, so feel free to use any textures you like.

All TTW saves have been imported since version 3.3.2, and Facegen has been packaged in a BSA that manages everything in one ESM to make installation easier.

All the screenshots in the Media tab are from V1.4 of my Wabbajack Begin Again list.
