Changed the default behavior of binoculars and added additional features.

This mod has been deprecated and I will no longer update its functionality. This mod is now part of my VMods Utility plugin. The version 1.21 uploaded here can rarely conflict with the "Granata" hotkey.

Conflicts and known issues

------------


- Can conflict with mods changing the standard sight.

- Weapons with extended magazines are only charged to standard capacity after the sight has been used. Assigning the selected weapon to a regular hotkey in the Pip-Boy can solve this problem.

- If there are several weapons in the game, the weapon with the lowest power is re-equipped after using the sight. This can be corrected in the same way as the store error described above.

· If the zoom key is pressed too short, the equipped weapon can be stopped.

Description

------------

Completely replaces standard binoculars as follows.


The original sights were replaced by "different" items instead of weapons and renamed "Scopes, Worn".


All sights now have a full screen FOV and a new aiming grid.


New sights were added as an option to upgrade the bench:


Binoculars, Weathered - here too, there are no major changes, constant zoom settings and works as before (except for controls, see below).

Binoculars, Light Frame - lighter than previous models, narrower magnification range, steeper appearance.

Binoculars, Technical - wider zoom range and possibility of a longer approximation, but also a narrower minimum zoom angle.

Tec MK2 binoculars are the same as previous models, full-color spectral imager and hazard detection mode.


In order to use the sight, binoculars must be present in the inventory. Put all weapons in the holster (including fists) and hold down the "b" key. All the shortcuts associated with this mode can be configured from the configuration menu.


By default, the keys are configured as follows:

- Left mouse = toggle sight mode (when using the technical sight).

- Center Mouse = invert the mouse wheel to scale.

- Wheel up = zoom in.

- Wheel down = zoom out.

- Key 'b' = turn on binoculars and enlarge the image

- Key 2' = function key (described below)


Depending on your current situation, function keys can:

- Switching of multiple sights - when all weapons are removed into holster.

- Open the configuration menu - when all weapons are in the holster, press and hold the function key.

- Open the main/charging menu - when all the weapons are removed into the holster, press and hold the function key if you have Tech or MK2 in your inventory and you are in hard mode. - If Vision mode is enabled when Tech/MK2 is scaled up.



Installation.

============

Download, unpack, copy all files and folders to the new vegas/data folder, enable esp in Setup, and then finish.


Uninstall.

=========

Assign a binocular zoom key to a key other than the default zoom key. Otherwise, if two different zoom levels are on the same key, the mode will disable this control. This only occurs during lifting, and you can safely set the rmb to the zoom while the mode is active. After that, you can safely remove or disable esp.


Update.

========

You must create a clean registration file before you can upgrade. To do this, delete the current version and download the existing save. Exit and exit the game. Delete the old save file and upload a new one. Use the in-game cheat menu to recover lost binoculars in the update.

Troubleshooting

===============

Since the NVSE does not support moving through inventory, in the current version, you must press the conventional weapon hotkey (1.8) to properly re-equip after using the sight. Otherwise, the Advanced Store mode will not be fully loaded by default, and if more than one weapon is equipped, the weapon with the lowest condition will be equipped.


Since this mode uses automation and event scripts extensively, if you encounter an error, please describe all the steps you took to reproduce it (which weapons were armed, which keys were pressed in exact order, etc.), otherwise I will not be able to help.


Modification.

==============

You can easily add your own version of binoculars to be recognized correctly by the handler. For this you need three forms:

- Special binoculars as weapons that will have sight and fastened for zoom. Minimum and maximum weapon ranges are used for minimum and maximum FOV, and weaponSight is used as the default FOV.

· The same sight net is used as a miss feature. It needs to be added to the game so that it is in the inventory and it can be retrieved.

- Short message type "Binoculars attached". It is used to exchange binoculars in the swap function.


Add these three forms to V86bcWeapBinocularsList; V86bcMiscBinocularsList; V86bcMsgBinocularsList, respectively, and ensure that all lists have the same index (and do not disturb the order of the other lists).
