About This Mod

In principle, the old version of .dll works better for some reason, if you throw it in the folder "fallout new vegas" (the folder with the program and files .exe), then the game will use this dll instead.

I no longer use it after the ***1.2 patch. It is also recommended to replay the game without using this dll.


"This .dll file is actually a lightweight wrapper for the "supported" .dll graphics card, deceiving the game to customize the FaceGen software (which causes performance problems) more efficiently." (HT @ „4000qails“)


Now your game will work almost as well as Fallout 3 on the same computer. This is as it should be, as very little visual improvement has been made.

Put it in the 'fallout new vegas' folder to force the game to use this dll.


(If you are using a second file, be sure ***change*** the graphics settings to your liking after the default settings and it appears as "7900" or "8600").


I have a quad-core processor/5870/8GB ram, and the performance was terrible until I did it.

-Sometimes I fail when using two monitors.


-Most people report crashes when using Crossfire or SLI.


-Typically failures occur in XFIRE.

Fixed in XFIRE = (Tools> Options> Games tab).

Then select the "Disable Xfire in game" check box.


-The second file does not work on my ATI 5870, but it can work for you.

Delete this file and the game will revert to using normal files in the Windows directory.


*Note*

-If the game doesn't start, just delete it. If the game is still crashing, it's clearly not in this file (should I say it?). *NOTE* - If it's still crashing, just delete it.


-This game is for DX9 only, no DX10 or DX11 features.


-Possible failure in the last movie.
