About This Mod

A little fashion for playing Fallout:NewVegas as a ghoul.

UPDATE: Added compatibility patch for those who use new DLC Dead Money. This patch is mostly for food, but it can later be expanded.

Playable Ghoul allows couriers to wander through the Mojave wasteland in the form of ghouls. This is not only a change of texture/race, but also several effects


Strength (STR) -2

Charisma (CHR) -2

Endurance +2 (END)


Ghouls are immune to most drugs, including alcohol. The effects of chemicals last only 1/4 of the usual, and the chance of poisoning is only 1/10 of the usual. The only exceptions are Rocket and UltraJet; RadAway and Rad-X deal physical damage to ghouls when used. Other substances, especially the special Nuka Cola, act normally on ghouls. In addition, the effects of irradiated alcohol are the same as normal.


The radiation level in the ghoul's body decreases over time (more precisely, the level considered "normal" increases) by 1 rad/10s.


Radiation poisoning has both positive and negative effects on ghouls:


Minor - +1 END, +2 HP/s, -1 Rad/s

Advanced - +2 END, -1 INT, +4 HP/s, -2 Rad/s

Critical - +3 END, -2 INT, -1 STR, +6 HP/s, -4 Rad/s

Deadly - +4 END, -3 INT, -2 STR, +8 HP/s, -6 Rad/s

Deadly - +4 END, -3 INT, -2 STR, +8 HP/s, -30 Rad/s


The ghouls do not die from deadly RAD poisoning.


Finally, the ghouls can take advantage of their unique advantage: Feral Proximity. This advantage ensures that feral ghouls will not attack couriers.
