Features.

Update 1.0.2 (thanks to Hitman!). All throwing weapons in the game, including throwing knives, were completely redesigned.

Corresponds to all vanilla timings and animation durations. Nothing deviates by a millisecond from the vanilla animations.

Idle animations where the weapon is equipped and unattacked.

Suitable for gameplay and possibly more suitable than vanilla animations (see description).

Compatible with all fast throw mods except b42 Quickthrow due to technical limitations.

Can be used with all motions available in the Nexus.

It is recommended that you use this set.



Description.

Would you use a projectile weapon in New Vegas? Probably not. The animations of a projectile weapon are very ugly, clumsy, and difficult to aim.


In my view, the first problem - the ugliness - was completely solved. In addition, the animation accurately repeats the timing of the vanilla weapon. All text keys are exactly the same, and the animation starts and stops the same way. For me, animation is a direct upgrade compared to vanilla without any conditions. I'm not going to explain the concept of these animations - the idea was to make them look better, stronger and heavier. This has been more or less achieved.


It is worth noting that initially we were going to do animation only for the ax, but here, please. Because the vanilla idols were so bad that no one bothered to make sure that the proportions were the same. So it was fun. At that point, we added the spear as a good countermeasure. That's how it happened.


As for the difficulty of aiming, as you can see from the window, it is still there. The weapon thrown in the vanilla is thrown slightly to the right of the cross-hairs. The reason for this is unknown, but it doesn't seem to be an animation problem. The animations in Vanilla are very bad at explaining what happens and when to hold and release the animation. Vanilla’s animation is very poor at communicating what is happening and when to hold and release the animation. In addition, the left hand "indicates" the direction of the throw, and also guides the spear tip if a spear is used. Targeting is still a challenge, but this animation should make it more visible.


Also, I'm very bad at playing this game, so maybe I just don't know how to aim in general.
