About This Mod

Fixed various problems with kNVSE.

Information.

The kNVSE fixup is a collection of bug fixes related to kNVSE that cover common problems that occur when using kNVSE animation mode.


Note: This mod is based on version 20, the latest official release of kNVSE. I only support kNVSE 20.




Corrections.

Delayed Reload - Fixes 1-2 second delay of gun reloading after firing when using looped attack animations, adapted from NVAO's Reload Delay Fix.


No partial initial reloading - fixed a problem where initial reloading always used full animation instead of partial.


Prolonged Attack - Affects automatic weapons; occurs when a third-person attack stops, causing the animation to freeze for 1-2 seconds. The animation also freezes during the attack.


3rd-person asynchrony - The combination of No Reload Cancellation and animation mode causes a number of problems with 3rd-person asynchrony, including a delay in updating the cartridge count, reloading, and getting ammunition directly from the reserve rather than the magazine.


VATS error - affects some weapons, such as caravan shotguns, when you attack in 3rd person mode, reload with VATS, then aim down and switch to 1st person mode.


Minor flaws are minor flaws in the NVAO, such as duplicating submachine gun magazines in 3rd person mode.


Sudden transition to ADS - affects some types of semi-automatic weapons, such as the plasma rifle. Occurs when the sight is released before the end of the aiming attack animation, as a result of which the weapon suddenly switches to a neutral position (added in 1.12).


Adjusted Animations - Adjust third-party mod animations to correct some "errors". For example, in an FNV, the pure Riot Shotgun/NVAO set will shift to the left of the crosshair in a targeted attack. (Added at 1.25)


Barrel Flash Particle Fix - Fixes the problem in many animation sets, where particles and smoke trails were noticeably shifted during an iron-sight attack. (Added at 1.30)
