About This Mod

I combined my three vanilla-style Legion missions - "5 Cards," "Yes, Actually, I Would" and "You're Getting in My Head" - into one ESM. These missions are intended to complement the Legion's Expanded Mission, but are not mandatory.

DefinitelyNotSade's Legion Quest Compilation.

It is well known how much of Legion Caesar was cut from Fallout:NewVegas. Therefore, from the point of view of the Legion player, participation in Mojave's content is no more difficult than in NCR, and will never be able to compare with it in content.

However, these notes at least attempt to solve this problem: Three new vanilla-style quests for Legion players that they will be able to complete during their adventures in Mojave.

At least they need to earn enough Legion glory to get a great Lucky Shade in a more natural way, without having to kill and steal for NCR tokens.

More information about each mission (including how to start it) can be found on the relevant fashion pages:

Five-Card Ante : Facilitates the mission to kill the First Scout by using the vanilla mission's three-card reward structure.

Yes, I Actually Would : Gives Legion players the opportunity to complete three Bitter Springs missions: Climb Ev'ry Mountain, Bitter Springs Infirmary Blues and No, Not Not Much.

You Go To My Head: A small mission in which to kill Ranger Milo and his thugs near Nelson beyond the Dead Sea.

Requirements.

Honest heart (required to test some Perk dialogs).

xNVSE (hard requirement).

JIP LN NVSE (hard requirement).

JohnnyGuitar NVSE (hard requirement).

Comparison with expanded Legion missions

Legion Quests Expanded is a great mod that remakes several quests from the base game to make them more responsive to legion players or bring new results in favor of legions.

It brings positive results for the Legion; LegionaryH did this mainly by reusing existing voice lines and quest logic or combining existing voices together to create new lines for new content that, IMO, was skillfully done.

However, LQE is quite old (by Internet standards) and therefore somewhat glitchy.

Moreover, due to his old age, he does not comply with the more modern rules of creating mods (Hail Mary) implemented in this assembly:

Use new script extender features and event handlers to create modifications.

Relying on fixed edits often makes mod compatibility very problematic.

Unable to transfer changes/modifications from YUP.

Worst of all, LegionaryH has restricted the rights to this mod, so, unlike this mod, someone else will not be able to change and reissue it.

To reduce the number of bugs you may encounter in LQE, please get the DiDisaan patch for YUP and LQE completely regardless of the use of this mod. This patch fixes all bugs I encountered in LQE.

I try to stay away from the content added/modified by LQE as much as possible, but there is a small dialog conflict with the Dead Sea in the "You Go To My Head" mission of this fashion. A patch to correct this conflict can be found in the "Additional Files" section.

About voice acting

The last major difference between DNSLQC and LQE is that NPCs are completely silent in this fashion.

I believe that most amateur voice acting for mods is complete nonsense for various reasons, and it doesn't matter to me that all NPCs are voiced. Consider this one of those CRPGs that simply cannot do it, like Pillars of Eternity, where the budget is insufficient to afford a full-fledged voice.

Honestly, I'm sick of the poor performance recorded by amateurs with cheap USB microphones. On top of that, without proper gaming, equalizer, aging and compression, the sound doesn't meet the standards. I would like the authors of Quest mode to pay more attention to the content, instead of thinking about the voice. Above was Ron Swanson.

Also, I am not going to use AI voices for various reasons.

Finally, my dialogs are not the best ones written, and in this respect form is more important than function.

So a competent voice-over would be useless on these missions anyway. Gratitude.

Obsidian for creating the best game in the world.

The impact of their hard work on the F:NV modding community is immeasurable.

JazzIsParis and LuthienAnarion for JIP LN; some of the features of this fashion are incredibly useful, and without them this fashion would not exist.

JohnnyGuitar carxt/karut and c6 behind the NVSE

AgentFuse behind A Golden Opportunity; I have carefully studied this mod and GeckWiki to learn how mission mods are created.

LStewieAL, RoyBatty and the rest of the xNVSE team for GECK Extender; excellent QOL improvement for mods in G.E.C.K.

Kormákur for Hot Reload; if you often write scripts in G.E.C.K., it's just necessary.

Deltoran for creating armor for the Raider faction (disguise); without this fashion the speech route in Five-Card Ante would not have been possible.

Deltoran for allowing me to migrate the Disguise script directly to Five-Card Ante.

LegionaryH for creating Legion Quest Expanded; LQE has inspired me to create these quest mods.
