Description

Wasteland Flora Overhaul is a fantastic and beautiful mod, but a huge number of trees lack LOD, many of those that have LOD do not fit well with their full-size models, and some of the models of LOD trees included in the original mod, pointed to full-size textures (it takes up a lot of space in the atlas of LOD textures with almost zero visual usefulness). In addition, most original LODs did not have any pads in UVs, which may have resulted in visible squares around transparent textures such as leaves due to overlapping other LOD textures.

This mod adds a new LOD for almost all trees that lacked an LOD or had a very mismatched LOD, and also fixes some bugs in existing LOD models.

Download and install all requirements

Use the mod manager (hopefully Mod Organizer) to install this mod

Download this mod after Wasteland Flora Overhaul

Generate an LOD using xLODGen. Follow this guide if you don't know how.

Q/A

Will this negatively impact productivity?

A: I have tried to keep the details of the models and textures low, but even so many of these trees are located hundreds of times throughout Mojave. I didn't notice the frame rate drop in my settings, but you shouldn't expect this mod to improve your performance.

Will you change X or add Y?

A: No, probably not.

My LOD is broken!

A: You did something wrong. Follow the guidance I've linked to.

These models suck!

A: Yes, most likely. It was about three days of work on my personal game, and I was mostly working on fixing the blatant pop-ing. If you don't like some models, you can delete them and go back to zero LOD for these trees.
