About This Mod

Jetpack for Fallout New Vegas requires NVSE v1.0 beta 4.

Jetpack mod.

Jetpack.esp.

This mode requires the latest version of the NVSE (currently v1.0 beta 4).

FOSE can be downloaded here http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php.id=12553を使いい場合 は 以 下 の リ ン ク か ら に 連 絡 し て く だ さ い 。たviaviaviaviaviaVaiNoVaiNoVpHeVeVeVeVeVeVeVe.

This is a beta version. The code is taken from my Fallout 3 jet pack fashion, no mission added. Jetpacks are added automatically when the mode is activated.

This mod adds a jetpack that can fly in the outer cell. Jetpack consumes flammable fuel at a rate of about 2 points per second when traveling in any direction and 1 point per second when inactive.

-------------

How to use

-------------

After attaching the jetpack, simultaneously press the hold and jump buttons to start the flight. You can then use the arrow keys and the mouse to move along the X/Y axis. To gain height, press "jump" to reset height, and to turn off jetpack - "miss", so make sure you are close to the ground.

The forward, backward, left, right, jump, and stealth controls are disabled when the jetpack is in flight mode. This is done so that during the flight do not play the usual animations. These controls are restored if you die in flight or stop the flight with the Use button.

It is recommended that you do not save during the flight. Because in this case, the unsaved controls will be saved, and if you upload another record without being in flight, you will need to re-link these controls.

At that point, they will not collide with objects in flight. Controls provide fairly accurate control, so colliding with objects should not be a problem.

If the lock knob is pressed during the flight, the display shows the fuel level.

If the fuel level is less than 50 units, the fuel gage turns red. If the fuel level drops below 30, the fuel light will blink and a buzzer will sound every four seconds until the jetpack stops or runs out of fuel.

The fuel and speed indicators can be put where you like. Press and hold the run key until the common HUD elements disappear, then press and hold the run key and use the arrow keys to reposition the display. Release the launch key when the display is in the desired position.

-----------

Known issues.

-----------

The game is clearly not designed for flying, so some buildings do not have roof collisions, and others are completely devoid of roofs. There are also a number of areas in the game that the player cannot see. When you jump out of or into a space of the world such as the Megaton, you fall into an area that wasn't meant to be played, the same goes for much of downtown DC.

The jetpack rotates when it is moved by the grab key. This may be fixed in a future update.

Jetpacks use slot 1 for attachment and flame is a backpack slot, so other items using the same slot may not work properly.

INSTALLATIONS

-------------

Extract the contents of this archive into a folder with Fallout New Vegas; select the file Jetpack.esp and start the game.

Special instructions for HUD items. If you don't use the UI mod, you don't need to do anything other than install it. However, if you are using, for example, DarNified UI F3, you need to check the following files.

'hud_main_menu.xml'

must be checked.

The file 'hud_main_menu.xml' must be validated.

Verify that the file 'hud_main_menu.xml' exists. If such a file exists, remove it from the archive before installing to avoid overwriting existing HUD mods.

Then add the following lines.

<include src="jetpack\b3JetPack_HUD(darn).xml"></include>

Yours

'hud_main_menu'

file

'Add to file.

The last line of the folder.

''.

You can open and edit this file in Notepad.

For more specific installation instructions, there are instructions on HUD items from Imp of the Perverse.

1) Go to 'Fallout New VegasDatamenusmain' and check if there is a file hud_main_menu.xml.

2a) If it's not there, or if it doesn't exist, paste the .esp file and the "menus" folder from the data directory of that mod into the data directory, just as you would with any other mod. Check the mod manager for the .esp file, and you're done.

2b) Open it in a text editor if you have one. Scroll down to the bottom of the file and add it just above the last line:

<include src="XXXX\XXXX_HUD.xml"></include>

The last two lines should look like this:

<include src="XXXX\XXXX_HUD.xml"></include>

3) Insert this .7z folder "menuprefabsXXXXXXXX" into the data directory, saving the file path.

4) Insert .esp in the data directory, check it in MOD Manager, and then complete the installation.

After the installation is complete, verify that the hud_main_menu.xml file has not been overwritten by other mods being installed. If it is overwritten, add the string 'include' again. If you're not sure, check (the next time you play the game, the hud counter will disappear, it should be turned on).
