About This Mod

Not so long ago, the hare on Nexus released a new weather mod - Vivid Weathers. This mod adds a hell of a lot of new weather types, and it's definitely a great addition to everyone's game. Before that, I used True Storms, which turned out to be incompatible with Vivid Weathers, and it was difficult to choose between them, and after the release of version 1.4.1 of True Storms, this choice became even more difficult. I hate it when someone or something forces me to choose between options that exclude each other. And how often do I do, when I have to choose between two alternatives, I chose the third. Here it is, a fusion of patches to work together these mods.

Note, however, that not all conflicts can be resolved without data loss, in particular, there are four vanilla weather types that have been modified by both modes, and therefore there are two types of patches available through the NMM installation:

  • True Storms Priority - The weather data from True Storms takes precedence in conflict avoidance, Vivid Weathers data is discarded.
  • Vivid Weathers Priority - Vivid Weathers weather data takes precedence in conflict avoidance, True Storms data was discarded.

There is also a patch merge for DLC Far Harbor and Nuka World, which can actually be done without losing data, so there are no priorities for them.

For the following versions:

  • True Storms: 1.4.2
  • Vivid Weathers: 2.23

Installation

  • If you haven't already, install True Storms and Vivid Weathers first.
  • Then use NMM/MO2/Vortex or manually select the merge patch type and Vivid Weathers season.
  • Select a DLC patch if necessary.

Manual Installation

The path files are distributed across multiple folders. Folders named x1, x2, x3, x4, and x8 correspond to versions with increased rain storm damage and Glowing Sea locations. The DLC files are located in the FarHarbor and NukaWorld folders.

Files in x* folders are named using the following pattern:

WeatherSynergy-[priority type]-[season suffix]-[earlier sunset suffix].esp

For example: WeatherSynergy-TruePriority-A-ES.esp. Here these files correspond to the True Storms priority, the autumn VW season, and the Earlier Sunset option enabled in TS.

The season suffixes are as follows:

  • N - no season;
  • A - autumn season;
  • SH - the season of quiet hills;
  • SM - summer season;
  • SP - spring season;
  • W - winter season.
